As a user who is only on their fifth year with their first created player, I feel like I have been overly blessed when it comes to memories and achievement within the sim. Jamie Orion was taken 2nd overall in the DSFL draft and immediately had 3 pass breakups in his first game. In his (and my) first season the Portland Pythons won the Ultimini (S43). Then Orion was a 1st round pick in the ISFL draft and was quickly called up to be a starting safety for the Sarasota Sailfish. In only his 2nd pro season (S45), the team made the Ultimus and took the game to overtime before losing a close one to the Austin Copperheads. While the most recent season wasn’t as successful for the team, Orion had a career-high 12 pass breakups and scored his first defensive touchdown.
For a young player and a new user, playing in two championship games and winning a trophy in their first five years is an amazing success rate. I said in all my initial DSFL interviews that I was more interested in team success than personal accolades, and that idea has germinated and borne fruit through my first player.
