one memory that i am fond of is when Colorado finally broke through and made the playoffs after a very long drought in S43. The circumstances of that season's NFSC wild card race were very bizarre, and despite having a much worse point differential than Berlin, it turns out that the sim prioritizes Points For over Point Differential (for some unholy reason!!!) so in that case our offense actually put us ahead going into the last week of the season. We didn't expect to beat Cape Town on the road, who were very good, but actually we ended up getting very close and the game came down to a missed extra point and some other things if I remember correctly. Unfortunately, we ended up losing, and even worse, we didn't score very many points, only 19, so we needed Berlin to not only lose their game but also to not score many points themselves. In Berlin's game, Sarasota pulled well ahead very early, so it was very likely they would lose, but we were still concerned they would score enough points (around 27 i think?) and kick us out! In the end Berlin came up just short, scoring 23 points and putting us in the playoffs for the first time since S31. The whole LR was pumped.
