Task 7
The ISFL, A league home to many, But just how many fans does each team have. I will be evaluating them to see who I think has the bandwagons.I think Arizona is a bandwagon team for sure, it's not the team's fault but when you win big, The bandwagon will form. I'm sure some guy claims he's been down since S1 but we all know he's full of it. The otters at one point most likely had similar fans and they are now the outlaw fans. Everyone loves the winner, and then moves on to the next winner. Teams like Berlin and Yellowknife i consider to be hardcore fans The Luchadores are also in this mix. They're niche teams to support but are big in their native regions.Berlin even more so as the high highs and low lows can be experienced similar to a team like Cape Town who is unique. CTC struggled big as the Liberty but have since gone to the ultimus twice under a new name. I'm sure this attracted a bandwagon but must have pissed off the old fans who sat through the struggle. I can also see most DSFL teams having a dedicated fanbase. It makes you wonder if fans of the Grey Ducks would root for Chicago since they are a close by team to like. The same can be said about Austin and Dallas. Speaking of the butchers I see them more as a casual fan base as of right now compared to other teams. Another big fan base I suspect is New York. This is just speaking purely from the region that this teams fans would be from, They maintain most of the north eastern fans in the league. Teams like the Sabercats are stuck as they are in an interstate rivalry, It is most likely a norcal and socal thing between these fanbases.Historic teams are more bound to have more fans in my opinion, The Baltimore Hawks are one of these teams that despite relocation rumors to Toronto back in the day, Have been a staple and stuck around and i can imagine the fans did as well. The Norfolk Seawolves are the DSFL equivalent of a team like this as well. But what about the places without a team in the league. Well I would say places like Atlanta would be either NOLA or Sarasota fans. Boston most likely would refuse to root for a New York team and are probably just fans of college sports in this universe. Europe may love the sallies but would probably switch to a local team if a place like Barcelona or even within Germany got a team, Berlin would lose fans, Same with Yellowknife as they are the smallest market team in the ISFL, Toronto would have a good amount of fans but Yellowknife with their success and history would still have a majority hold I believe in the ISFL. Who does Asia root for? Some parts would be Bucs fans but places like Japan and China would probably love to be home to a team in the league eventually, Africa is the latest tapped into market but what if another team showed up somewhere in the continent to give CTC a run. Its interesting to think about the international markets in the ISFL as they usually only host a team at most, While most of the league sits in North America. I would love to see a team in Seoul or Osaka as the next market to tackle. Its one of the parts of the world that needs it, India and Pakistan as well could be in the mix as these countries probably root for players with the heritage of the country more so than an actual team. What about another UK fanbase like Northern Ireland or Scotland? This could be a dsfl team that has a derby to show whos the best between them and the royals.
