Also another trend to look at is running back YPCs. In Season 1, the best starting running back YPC was 4.6. In Season 2, the best starting running back YPC was 3.7. In Season 3, the best starting running back YPC was 3.4. Even though running backs have been getting better each season from an attributes perspective, their efficiency has been sharply decreasing. I don't know for sure what is causing this trend, but my best guess is since defensive lines are growing a lot faster than offensive lines, running backs are getting less holes to run through and are getting stuffed in the backfield more often. This is concerning for league balance because if the running game keeps getting worse, teams are going to stop running and just pass all the time which will lead to pretty unbalanced playcalling and take away from the feeling of realism. Obviously as a running back I'm a bit biased, but I would love to see offensive lines get buffed so that the running game can stay viable rather than decreasing further.
