14. I think the league should always be looking to find ways to drive expansion. I think more teams could level the playing field a little. You could make some sort of rule that prevents teams from stacking extra players by requiring each team to have a certain number of active players on teh roster before any team can add more. It could keep the number of players per team more even and in theory would most likely create more parity in the league. One of my biggest issues with the league is sketchy signings of players to teams. I know it is fairly common for creates to tell certain teams they won't playf or them or to go as far as to say they will only play for the team they want. That is unfair in the draft process. I get the idea of planning out your QB for the future, but a corner back? As for DSFL, I am all for every one getting playing time. So whether that is expansion or contraction, I am for more playing time for all creates. As for location and branding, my first request is to recreate the Singapore Sun Bears. Greatest team in basketball ever and clearly hands down the best mascot I have ever had the privelage of being a part of. (I do like the Osaka Kaiju alot). We need more non United States based teams, include more other nations and people in the amazing fun that is Dot football! I have an idea to include South America, we can try out the Buenos Aires Southern Screamers. I know, another bird, but this bird has a way better name than any other bird currently in the ISFL. I mean, the Southern Screamers? Tell me that doesn't scream football team. I dare you. Plus it is all the way down in Argentina.
16. Man, getting back into the league has been some work. At first it was all just getting used to running by these young ins. But then it turned into rebuilding that stamina to play a full game. And then you got to learn the full offense and the way the quarter back does his cadence for the calls in game. All in all it has been a struggle. Plus with it being a developmental league, you are not exactly playing with or against the best of the best. Not to talk bad about any of them, but realistically some of them are just filler dudes who will never make it to the next level. The issue I have, is it feels like I can only try so hard with the limit on how good the competition is. Hopefully when I get called up, I will feel ready to uncap the speed and really show what I can do. I am hoping for a better season coming up. I feel like I shook off all the rust I can for the DSFL and when I get called up to the next level, I will be able to finish my rebuild. As for our team, I think we are in a better place than we were the last two seasons. We had some unfortunate timing on players getting called up and just a general lack of talent across the team. But, again, this is a development driven league, not a winning based thing. So while I do enjoy success and winning, I can also understand the true purpose of this league and my time in this league. Our time in the DSFL is about learning and enjoying our time here so we are ready to move up to the ISFL when we are called up. All in all, it should be a fun season for everybody. I hope I leave some CBs in the dust on my way to 1k yards and ten plus touchdowns. Let's GO!
