For a former DSFL defensive player of the year finalist, Robot Sunfish's rookie season was underwhelming to say the least. Sure, he got 87 tackles and a couple FF/ FRs, but the once- dominant DSFL pass rusher only managed to get 2 sacks in his initial ISFL season. So naturally, rectifying that was the main focus for Sunfish in the offseason. With the departure of Honolulu's long time LB1 Maxwell Jacob Friedman to Orange County Otters, Sunfish will be stepping up as the weak side linebacker in the upcoming season, a position where his pass rushing ability will be far more important than it was in his former spot as an off-ball linebacker. So Sunfish spent most of the offseason improving his pass rushing. As a pretty speedy linebacker, the focus on his workouts was agility and strength, and it seems like Sunfish has came a long way in those categories compared with his rookie self. So with the season beginning tomorrow, hopefully Sunfish can have a breakout season like he did in DSFL a few seasons ago.
