Chunky Campbell Soup spent most of the offseason working on transitioning to the defensive line. He was drafted to an ISFL team that was hoping to take the offensive lineman and flip him to the opposite side of the ball. While he was a tenacious blocker and solid all around lineman, they thought they could get more out of Soup by moving him to the defensive side of the ball. Chunky decided to try and cut some weight this offseason focusing on speed and acceleration. This would allow him to be even faster off of the ball. It also required him to take a bunch of time to learn the defensive playbook. Obviously, knowing how the offense thinks and how the blocking works factors in and helps out but it is still a new position and whole side of the ball he needed to learn. Chunky has been doing well and learning quickly. It will be interesting to see how he develops this season.
