4. Colorado is the worst team in league history. There's not even all that much competition for that spot anymore. However, they do have one of the higher numbers of Hall of Famers in the league, and have one of the most memorable Ultimus victories ever. As such, there's a whole host of players who could fit on a Colorado Mount Rushmore.
The first step when constructing a Mount Rushmore, at least to me, is to represent the greatest eras of the franchise, which is easier in this case because there is exactly one great era of Colorado, from S22 through S25, and a second Good Era at the turn of the decade. At least, usually that's my first priority. When it comes to Colorado, there's actually another priority that's even more important, though: representing Infinite. In terms of synonymous users with franchises, he's up there for the player who is the most attached to a franchise in the entire league in my head, up there with Zayn and New York and Dewalt and Berlin, and Infinite's been attached to COL for much longer. So I need an Infinite player, and there's an easy choice there: Micycle McCormick, one of the greatest placekickers the league has ever seen, a Hall of Famer, and a player who covers a time period that wouldn't otherwise be covered for Colorado.
Back to the good eras of the franchise, I need a player who represents the Ultimus winning squad, and maybe the back to back years where they were runners up, as well as a player who represents the late 20s-early 30s era where they were usually at least competitive. Technically I could kill two birds with one stone here, because there is a player who bridges both sides of the gap, but I don't need to do that: I can put Mo Berry, 3 time DPOY, Hall of Famer, and one of the greatest LBs the league has seen onto Mount Rushmore. He had a nice 7 tackle, 1 TFL, 1 sack game in the Ultimus, and might have been the single best performer on that team; the other option, James Bishop, is also a Hall of Famer but doesn't have the all time legacy that Berry does. So I get to put in one of the greatest players for the Yeti and one of the major reasons they won a title in one fell swoop.
The 3rd player is easy, as I get to add maybe the single greatest player to ever play for Colorado, and a guy who perfectly covers both of the Yeti's strongest periods: William Lim. He's a top 4 WR in league history, being top 4 in both yards and touchdowns, and spreads across both the Yeti's 3 Ultimus berths in 4 years period and the Peek Yeeti period where they had another Ultimus berth in S31. The Yeti have a lot of Hall of Famers, but not that many in contention for Greatest Player at their position, outside of Lim and one other.
I honestly run into a bit of a problem here; all the best options for a 4th player are doubling up in some way; I could have Bubba Thumper, Immanuel Blackstone, or Wolfie McDummy to cover the greatest period of Yeti history, but I feel like Berry was the best player of that bunch and Wolfie in particular is also doubling up on Infinite representation. I could have Caliban or Melvin Murder Moose, but both heavily overlap with Lim, Caliban even moreso considering he was Lim's QB. Manhattan Project doesn't overlap with Lim as much, playing only about a third of his career together, but he was a Center.
I eventually settled on Johnathon Saint, as a player who covered the start of the Yeti, their first season and first award, winning LBotY and making the Ultimus in their first season. He's a Hall of Fame LB, not as decorated as some of his compatriots, but I think he fits best.
