This PT submission is going to be a mix of IC and OOC so buyer beware.
So as many of you will know, I originally became aware of this site sometime during the last week of May, 26th/27th. I originally seen the site both on r/madden and r/cardinals and clicked onto it on my phone then laptop, I had a quick look and thought at first, fuck this looks like too much work. I don't even know if I'll even enjoy it. Then about a week later either on the 1st or 2nd of June I signed up and missed the draft by a whole day. Seeing how nothing happened for my player for about 48 hours I figured I may as well look around the league and see what they've got. Now I'm a huge fan of stat keeping on madden, looking at player histories, who they retired with, what they achieved and I just fell in love with the sheer detail on this site. Whether it's something simple like roster pages, team history, career stats or anything in between. I just felt that had I not seen those posts on reddit, that I definitely wouldn't be here today... or worse I could've ended up buying Madden 18 for my football fix!
My IC story has always been that I originally missed the draft because my agent forgot to file the declaration form and necessary papers combined with an undertone that a drug related incident left me ineligible for the NSFL draft following the finishing of my final college year at the University of Arizona. It's a weird one because if I did make it in time for the S1 NSFL Draft I likely would've been a very late round pick or possibly go undrafted versus where I ended up in the S2 Draft. #1 , the best player in the draft by a long shot. It's an interesting dynamic for sure and chances are I definitely would not have ended up back in Yellowknife that's for sure. Maybe I could've been an Otter? An Outlaw? Maybe I couldve' been left unrpotected in the S2 Expansion Draft and fell to either the Legion or the Liberty? Who knows? Maybe I wouldn't be a head office member? I could've even went inactive to be honest depending on which team and what the quality of their locker room is like. Regardless hitting the S2 draft allowed me to get a step up on all my competition and roll with all the punches.
I've rolled with this story and I don't know if I'll ever pick a side to fall on. Regardless of what I chose to do in character, I can honestly say this site has affected me positively in a huge manner. Whether it was the fact that I was coming off an awful breakup and just about to head into my final year of college in the same course as my ex in a few months or the fact that I broke my collarbone for the 2nd time in 9 months just a month and being told that if I broke it again I'd have to give up soccer and sports entirely after joining here, this site helped me get some routine back in my life. It allowed me to spend my time crippled focusing on something that helped me stay somewhat engaged in sports and life even as a cripple. It allowed me to not take for granted being able to move and jump and exercise but it also made me really push for a change in my life. Both physically and mentally, physically in the way that I wanted to fix my weight issues, I wanted to gain weight and get bigger and stronger and hopefully never fall in this shape again and mentally in the aspect that I'm not letting somebody fuck me over this badly again and let it get to me. This site and you all mean a lot to me, whether I'm on this site in 10 years time or leave in 1 years time. Finally I'd like to sign off from this PT by saying @ErMurazor is a rigging cheat.
