My personal fondest memory of being in the league is when my previous player, Austin Morley, had one of the best special teams performances of all time (in my humble opinion). In the first game of Season 40, Morley and the Butchers faced off against their bitter rival the Colorado Yeti. The Yeti drove down and scored on their first possession, and on the ensuing kickoff, Morley returned it 102 yards for a touchdown! (His first and only return touchdown of his career). To follow that up, Morley would later in the game return a punt 49 yards to the Yeti 1 (resulting in a 1 yard TD rush). The game ended with (at the time) Morley holding the most kick return yards in a single game (234) and the most special teams return yards in a single game (283 - not tracked, but I checked the best I could). Morley would go on to win the Special Teams Player of the Year award that season. (166 words)
