The first four weeks of the season have gone pretty well for the DSFL’s Bondi Beach Buccaneers. They started the season off with a narrow, three point win over the Tijuana Luchadores that many considered to be an upset. Buccaneer running back Brandon Johnson had 103 yards and a touchdown in Tijuana’s only loss so far this season. Week 2 was less successful for the Buccs. Three turnovers caused them to lose their first game of the season to the Kansas City Coyotes. The Buccs would get back into the win column the next week against the Dallas Birddogs. The Buccs took care of business against the team commonly considered the worst in the league, beating them 37-7. In the fourth week of the season, the Buccs would go on the road to the United Kingdom to take on the London Royals. There, they would pull off another upset, defeating the Royals, who were undefeated heading into that game, 31-17.
