You wanna talk about a bust? How about Johan-James "Jimmy" Slothface Sr. (AKA Big Jimbo Klein).
He got drafted at some point, in some season, in a certain round of the draft at a specific pick. Nobody knows for sure when or how the man entered the league, but what is for sure is that upon retirement he was immediately and totally replaced both on the field and in the hearts of his colleagues by an Orc who had never before seen a football, let alone set foot on a professional football field. His accomplishments? None. Not even a single field goal to his name. No touchdowns passing or rushing. No punt returns. Nary a pancake to be seen. The man was a practical void on the stat sheet, an enigma, similar to a black hole in that his presence can only be verified by the virtue of the absence of someone better and inherently more exciting. A lot of Second Line fans weren't aware that he even played for them, and often referred to themselves as the "11th man", mistakenly noting his absence. Somewhere down the road a historian will look back on the NSFL football reference and find him, and wonder if he ever truly existed at all or if he was a figment of the imagination of the writers, or perhaps even a glitch in the archive. Someone once said, "If you do something right, no one will be certain you did anything at all." - And, perhaps, Johan-James Slothface Sr. lived by that motto.

Written Option: In 200 words, make your case for the worst draft pick of all time. How did this draft pick set the franchise back? What other effects did the pick have? Were there much better options further down the draft? You cannot discuss draft classes still on their rookie contracts, so it must be the Season 19 NSFL Draft or earlier to receive credit.
San Jose amongst the many retarded things they've done in the franchises history decided to draft Iyah Blewitt like 4th overall in the NSFL Draft. Ignoring the fact that literally every single person in the league at that time knew that not only do kickers and punters suck balls, but whatever he/she earns TPE wise is not reflected in their output in our potato sim. Regardless of this, they set their franchise back who fucking knows how many years because they were dogshit untill they finally won a championship in S13? S14? one of those years. Imagine if they didn't pick literally the most useless position at 4th OA and instead picked somebody who might've actually been responsible for aiding their win percentages sim by sim. Beyond this , the standard for this PT have been either Sweet James Jones, their own player and I've seen a fair few Ryan Lefevre along with the odd JJ Reigns pick. You could really finish this PT just by going through and naming 95% of the Colorado Yeti's picks, even dating as recently back as S16. The hyperfocus on picking first gens more often than not does not work out, especially when the one in question has had his multitude of issues in other sim leagues joined at the hip to ours here.

Alright, Boom or Bust, this PT is about overall bust that we believe have happened in the league. As a new player and a pretty active but low key one. I had to do some digging and go through the wiki, ask my GMs and veterans for some information. So if I'm not entirely correct here, I apologise in advance.
But I believe a bust is someone that either a team wastes a pick on and they leave early in FA, PO, or force a trade. Or someone who is drafted high and underperformed at that draft location. For this segment I have settled on a former pick of my San Jose Sabercats. That player would be Marcella Tōriki, she was drafted fifth overall by my cats back in 2033 draft. She started slow, was given a bigger role and did well but unfortunately exercised her PO and left for NOLA. Now this is where I say she is 1.) A bust for us because spending a fifth on a player to have them leave after one year is definitely a hole to fill on your team and a big blow. Now I don't know the back story here but either GMs made a mistake with the contract or were blindsided by this move either way. A tough loss to take for our cats. After the move she had a standout year with 240 Carries 1093 Rushing Yds 7Tds 20 Catches 104 Yds 5Tds. Which makes this more of a bust for the cats. After this Marcella had a subpar year compared to her sophomore season with the secondline. Only getting into the end zone 3 times and just over 900yds. Finally her last season she bounced back to a similar standard as her spohmore year, little more prominent in the passing game but overall solid Then things personally I believe led to her early opt of her San Jose contract. And like I stated before, draft busts aren't always about performance. For the Cats, this was about having a Fifth overall walk out on you after one year at a very prominent position. Having to fill that hole again definitely hurt the growth of that team. Luckily, the cats have bounced back and our a bright spot in the NSFL this year and plan to be for years to come
As a new player, there is not a lot of players you hear about being as a bust. So it's hard to determine which player is. But during my process in the NSFL scouting and drafting, one name came up repeatedly was the user name Noble. Stories were told of this user.
Noble was a user that wrecked the integrity of the NSFL. It was truly a dark time. He had a ton of multis, abused his commissioner powers and was caught cheating. This was a huge blow to the Yeti franchise when it first happened. But after his initial firing and suspension, he came back from the dead as a running back to haunt another franchise. The player that was created was Antonio Summer. A running back who was drafted by the Yellowknife Wraiths a 4th overall. This is an ultra high pick for a running back in the first place but the Wraiths thought they found their guy and the player was a great earner from the looks of it. This is where the good ends, it was later found out that he was indeed the cheater and muilter Noble. So the ban hammer came out. Additionally, the Wraiths missed out on a few pro bowlers in the process of the likes Jerrod Canton and Slim Shady. So another franchise got Nobled and scouts are vetting each prospect to make sure they don't get burned. Code: 237
Being pretty new to the league, it is difficult to single out someone as a definite draft bust. With that being said, the name that I have always heard thrown around when talking about league drama has been Sweet James Jones. Sweet James Jones was picked 6th Overall in the S19 Draft by the Chicago Butchers. In a Wide Receiver class that included standouts Rayne Gordon and Sean O’Leary, it is obvious that he clearly could not live up to the hype. Sweet James Jones not only lacked power on the field, but is known for his league ban and negative energy off the field. Since drafting Jones, Chicago have finished the year last in the NSFC 2/3 seasons. This season, it looks like they will finish last once again. It is understandable that they are in full on rebuild mode and its hard not to say the Sweet James Jones at least contributed to that in some form. It can be a bit dramatic to blame a franchise’s shortcomings solely on one pick, however this situation is one the bears repeating. Sweet James Jones was not only a bust but a demoralizing dark cloud that will loom over the Butchers franchise for some time. I think they can move on but it will take a slow steady rebuild, something that they have seen at their franchise for a long time.

Worst pick award would have to go to the Yellowknife Wraiths for their selection of Kicky Bobby (Kicker) in the 2nd round (16th overall) in the S17 draft. While he may have had the perfect name for kicking, Bobby never really showed more than that. It was quite a reach for the Wraiths to draft a borderline kicker in the second round, especially with five others available to draft. To further illustrate what a blunder this pick was there were two kickers drafted in the final three picks and Yellowknife actually drafted another kicker with the final pick in the draft. When they took Kicky Bobby at 16, wide receiver Action Jackson (currently of San Jose) was still available and has gone on to become a 653 TPE player who was logged on today. Not sure if the current leadership for the Wraiths was in place during S17, but we certainly hope they have learned from that draft day mistake. One may excuse the Wraiths due to the smaller draft classes and maybe there was more pressure to try and land an active kicker, but Jackson could end up a 700+ TPE offensive weapon in the league and a IA kicker who is currently a free agent really looks like a bust here.
