There are numerous pranks that happen with new draftees all the time. The Marshal’s locker room is no different. James Bishop is a notoriously sound sleeper. He could sleep on the outside of a train. One day he woke up with the morning bright in his eyes and it was seemingly no different from any other day. James walked into the bathroom and immediately opened up the medicine cabinet to brush his teeth and began the brushing back and forth to bring his teeth to a clean white. Once he closed his medicine cabinet he walked over to the shower to begin. But something was off… it was drafty. He felt his head to find that he had a reverse mohawk shaved into his head. He looked similar to that of Larry Fine from the 3 Stooges. As a man who took a lot of pride in his hair James was pretty mad at first but decided that he would be the good sport and rock the reverse mohawk for the rest of training camp. He would then during that time find out who had done it and plan his revenge. Nothing too sinister but something he could also enjoy. Watch out Marshal’s locker room, you might be next!
The best prank at the otter's training camp wasn't even meant to be a prank at all.
It was October and Halloween was approaching. Seer Zephyrous decided to go to practice wearing the face mask and straight jacket of Hannibal Lector. If you don't know, Seer is a massive dude with a bald head so he already looks the part and is quite intimidating. While travelling to practice to mess with his team, he had to run an errand on the way. During this time, the police were called and they came to hassle the football player. Coach was pissed and wondering where the running back had gone, but he was tied up dealing with police officers. Once the officers realized what was happening and that this wasn't an insane person, but a moderately famous football player, they began taking it more light hearted while taking pictures with him. Seer did make it to practice, and recounted the story which the team had a good laugh, except the coach. After practice, some of his team called the security guards saying a suspicious character was in the locker room, pranking Seer and the security. Unfortunately, the security guards freaked out and tazed seer which prevented any more jokes of this nature. 210 words

The Portland Pythons are a team that is known for joking around, and when kicker Eric Legstrong joined the team that stayed the same. Legstrong was a player who had a reputation in high school days for being a complete prankster and this trend eventually progressed into one of the best senior pranks, but this isn't what we're here to talk about today. Instead, we have word from our media source that Legstrong was part of an elaborate prank on the team's general manager last night where all of the helmets for the team were hidden around the stadium with clues attached inside each to find the next one. The players thought that making the GM run as much as the coach and players do would be a good idea, but soon found out quite the opposite when they all got pay slashes to their contracts the next morning. The prank was good hearted but in the end the players probably got the short end of the stick from their new general manager which left them feeling pissed off and heated heading into training camp which is never a good way to start a season by any regard. Sources say the atmosphere has already changed for the better.
Axel Hornbacher was excited to be drafted by the Portland Pythons since his father, Trevor Hornbacher, was an assistant coach for the Pythons under Rashaad Brooks from S3 – S5. Having grown up around the locker room in Portland and interactions with lots of players and coaches, he was familiar with a variety of pranks that had been executed in past seasons. This season, Axel knew that he would be the rookie on the team and probably subject to pranking himself, but he decided to take the lead himself to prank the other players during training camp. He went with a couple pranks to really light up the locker room. First he went with the classic ‘Hot Foot’ prank by taking toilet paper to make a wick on the side of a few of his teammate’s shoes and set it on fire. It was very enjoyable and eliciting quite a laugh in the locker room. After that prank, Axel pulled out the super glue for another classic prank. He glued his teammates’ shower shoes to the floor of their lockers. It was fun to watch everyone confused while trying to pull their shower shoes to go shower. It even resulted in a few guys falling into their locker!
Luke Boechler isn't the type of guy to play normal pranks on his team mates during training camp. It's normal for veterans to play pranks on their new rookies, but its uncommon for a rookie to play a prank on a veteran so when Boechler played on a prank on his training camp room mate and future wide receiver Yulic Nagasawa there was some people up in arms.
"All I did was change some stuff around in the wash. I put some pink dye in and it dyed all the shirts he had pink, but I didn't know it wouldn't come out after. I thought that stuff washed out the first or second time you ran it through man. He didn't have to knock me out, now my face looks like shit and I feel like an asshole when obviously he's the real one." The media has reported that Nagasawa apologized to Boechler for his outburst, but that Boechler refuses to apologize, continuously calling it an accident and nothing else. These two players will need to settle their differences during this training camp if they want any chance of pulling together the mess of a team that the Coyotes posted last season. |
