Tier 2, Prompt 7.
My experience with the league has been an absolute blast and a whirlwind since the moment I created my player. I was absolutely devastated that I missed out on the DSFL draft and scouting process - joining on the day of the draft airing meant that the picks had already been made. I was left feeling a bit left out and rejected just by nature of my own bad timing. Given how people have talked about the draft time being the absolute most exciting and fun time of the season, I feel like I really missed out on a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to get that first scouting and draft experience as a new create. I don’t really know if there’s a way to address this while maintaining the ‘realism’ that the waiver system offers. In a world where draftees and free agents get the attention and fanfare, the poorly-timed waiver players get the short end of the stick on both sides. I had fun through the process, but a waiver pickup going into a less enthusiastic locker room (or a team that isn’t winning often) might feel unimportant or irrelevant.
I was very relieved to find painted and IceBear selected me to play for them in Minnesota. The Grey Ducks have been absolutely wonderful. Obviously I’m a big fan of the GMs there, they answered all of my questions and got my career going on the right foot for sure.
My player started on very shaky ground - I was very late to the season to begin with, and the season started before I had learned the ropes. My first few games were just absolute garbage, having allocated basically none of my earned TPE. After a week or so of poor performance, I was able to correct the course and have been seeing greatly improved performance since then. Now that I’ve had a season to increase my stats, I’m a lot more confident when watching the streams. It’s amazing how quickly I went from feeling like a burden to seeing myself as an asset for the team.

Tier 3, Prompt 16.
I’m a new create and I wasn’t scouted for the DSFL, so I’m not exactly a hugely known quantity, but I’ve been around the league all season and I’ve talked to everyone who has approached me. My potential value to an ISFL team is that I’m a consistent earner who is involved in the league beyond just earning TPE and planning for a long career. I’ve been up front about my willingness to change positions and the flexibility that would allow a team to have in terms of draft picks. As for why a team should take a chance on me: I don’t think they should. If your WR is discussing your draft order and you find yourself saying things like “I don’t know if ctots/Theo Lariat is worth it” then you’re probably better off making a different selection. I’ll happily fall to a lower round if I end up with a team that recognizes the value that I add to the organization.

Tier 3, Prompt 18.
When you talk about the Minnesota locker room, there really is only a single player who stands out as the #1 selfless team player both on and off the field every single week, and that’s our very own #99, Daron Arnold. On paper, the player’s stats aren’t too shabby: 100 tackles and 6 sacks this season. Where he really shines, though, is in the locker room. TubaDeus is regularly helping out in basically every imaginable capacity. You can find him putting together some especially high quality sim testing strategies, helping to answer new player questions, and even boosting morale with a good meme. The raw brain power that lives in this skull is probably frightening enough to be kept under constant surveillance. Minnesota is a much better place as a result of Daron Arnold being on the roster, and it’s going to be a huge blow to the team when he gets called up. Linebackers don’t necessarily get a ton of love, but this one deserves all the recognition.
