We're about to have an r/NFL class which is always a big class and retaining numbers from this class is huge for the development of the league. How is going to make an r/NFL post tomorrow(?) Get all these new members in and signed up on jcink and then in 2 weeks tell them they have to go use another site and get used to that one. As happy as I am to see the league moving forward and making progress It just seems the timing is a bit off for this.
yeah this is really a tough pickle we are in and it's been discussed to some length. we almost decided to just do the migration tonight actually, so that we could avoid that problem, but it would cause more problems than it would solve.
ultimately we thought that having that awkward phase would be better than waiting the 6+ weeks for the next offseason to do the switch. there are a few other phases of "fancy new isfl site" in the pipeline that we don't want to release all at once.
we might have to do extra hand holding and it might cost some recruits, but moving off of jcink sooner rather than later is where our heads are at. for older users it might be a bit of a culture shock but we're hoping that the design isn't too much of a burden, and since the forms behave all the same (save for tagging which is *slightly* different), they can help lend a helping hand as well.
it's probably worth mentioning that I'm actually IP-blocked by JCINK and i have to use cell data to access the forums haha
