If we decided to cancel the season I don’t think it would really mean that much for me and the boys. Lets be honest we don’t really do much anyways so what would being forced to stay home really mean? More time to kick in the back yard? More time to sit around and play video games? More time to get belligerently drunk at 7am on Champaign and sing “We are the Champions” loudly? Like these are things we do daily anyways. Ya the no practice thing would be a bummer, like I think we all really enjoy the free stuff that is handed out at the facility, but also it means I don’t have to go anywhere. Not that big a deal. Also who knows, maybe me kicking this much is why I am starting to miss some kicks. Maybe I should stop practicing and doing PTs and shit all together. Might actually serve to help out the team in the long run. Lost season means that I would likely have fewer missed kicks in my career which is th only stat that people actually care about so this would be a huge win for the boys and I. Looking forward to it at this point actually.
Written Option: The NSFL is currently the only operating major sports league in the United States. Write 200 words or more on what you would do if the NSFL decided to suspend the season. What would you and your team do to pass the time (and still practice safe social distancing)? How would your player feel about the lost season?
And so it had come to this. The end of the season as they knew it. The Seawolves were cheered by the thought they were doing well so far this season but disheartened that the season had come so abruptly to a close. But the Seawolves, like most of the players in the NSFL, were resilient, and knew there was really no other option; social distancing was the main way that they could curtail the spread of the virus, and so with heavy hearts but with resolve, the Seawolves isolated themselves in their houses with their families for the foreseeable future.
However, all was not lost. The Seawolves were known for their public service and dedication to helping others. The entire defensive line took up grocery deliveries to the nursing homes and elderly population of Norfolk. The O-line started a pen-pal system where players could write emails or letters to bored children around the nation. The wide receivers, safeties, and tight ends started a food drive to feed families out of work, and the cornerbacks that were tech wizards volunteered to help out those who had difficulties connecting to their families online. Finally, Luke Skywalker, the Seawolves quarterback, went back to work as a professor/scientist, helping his teammates and working with others to find a potent vaccine against COVID-19.
The season was over. There was no doubt about that. But the NSFL spirit was not, and as the Norfolks worked to help their neighborhood, other teams took on the example of the Seawolves, and built up their cities, states, and nations to do good for others and better the world.
If the NSFL cancels this season, I think I will be very sad and depressed. I trained for a long time to play in this league, and I am having the time of my life right now playing with my amazing teammates in the pro level that I always dreamt.
And if the season really gets cancelled, I think I will be better off staying here in the U.S than returning to my home country of Korea as I will be mandatorily quarantined for 14 days should I return there. I really don’t want to spend two weeks just holed up a small space. Instead of that, I will seek to use the newly created vacuum in my schedule productively and improve my draft stock for the upcoming NSFL draft. Fortunately I recently got a home gym for myself, so I'll be able to do some workouts in there or at my lawn. And maybe I'll be able to invite some teammtes and do some postional drills together if that’s not against the social distancing policy.
Apart of training, I think a virtual game of werewolf will be a good way to have fun while maintaining distance. I think I'll be participating in several games of the werewolf as I recently got invited to a group including many NSFL and DSFL players.

If the NSFL cancels this season i would be very dissapointed and sad. We at the Myrtle Beach Buccaneers have our own gym so i guess i would train in our gym (one person at a time so we would make time slots over the week) and if i can't train in our gym i would be at home chillin on the couch and watching some tv. i mean what are you gonna do? if i can't leave the house and my carreer is suspended because of a virus i'd rather try to stay in shape and stay with my ass inside than going out there and risk getting sick. Since i've been with the Myrtle Beach Buccaneers i haven't seen my parents so i would love to visit them but with the whole covid-19 situation as it is that would be pretty stupid. but i guess i would talk with my family and friends over the phone to keep some contacts. also i would game my ass off i guess, i love playing some oldschool rpg and shooters. also, party games over the internet are still fun af with some friends. gotta keep your distance! so i hope the NSFL doesn't cancel it's season and we all stay save. keep your hands clean guys!
Bruce Buckley would be absolutely shattered if the National Simulation Football League was suspended as it is the first time in his life, he is able to play his favourite sport, American football. Growing up in Western Sydney did not provide the opportunity for Buckley to join leagues or play with friends, he was barely able to get an online game of Madden due to the lack of servers in the Eastern Hemisphere. It would be soul shattering for Buckley and remove one of his only loves.
The only Brightside is that Bruce Buckley is a part of the greatest team environment and locker room in the entire league, that of the Myrtle Beach Buccaneers. There is plenty of quality teammates that will help one another get through any problems that may be faced by Buckley or any of his teammates. The players have gotten together and formed plans to make media pieces and interview one another just to bring some entertainment to a potential life with no sport, live or simulated.
One of the most important and fun activities planned by the Buccaneers is a fencing club which fulfils the PPE and social distancing requirements. The Myrtle Beach fencing club is getting bigger and bigger every week.
If the NSFL decided to suspend the season, my player would feel very bad. He´s just getting better and better and is ready for the next few games to put up some more catches and hoepfully touchdowns, too. Kaepercolin would be devastated, because he thinks that with him as awesome wide receiver they can go all the way and win a championship as expansion team which would be a really historic achievement. At the moment their standing isn´t that impressive, but as of the latest training sessions, they´re in good shape and looking to start a winning streak.
Kaepercolin probably could still practice with the team and care about social distancing, because with his enormous speed he can easily create enough seperation, so it wouldn´t be a problem. Off the field the time probably would fly quickly, because the atmosphere in the locker room of the London Royals is really great and they all have become friends. So they would play video games and talk in discord or teamspeak with each other. Additionally I´d like to think that all player would still work out and share their sessions online, so they continue improving for the next time they could step on a football field again.
My team, the New Orleans Second Line, are currently on an 8 game win streak, so if the season was cancelled we would all be devastated. I would go lie in the fetal position for at least a week pretending it didn't happen. But after I got over that I would probably try and get my teammates together on something like Steam and maybe play board games via Tabletop Simulator or we could have a watch party for a movie or honestly anything to keep in touch. I would try and get some of my teammates into the new Animal Crossing game for Switch so that we could visit each others islands and bond in different ways, since we wouldn't be able to hang out together like we normally do. Another thing we would definitely do is have daily workout sessions where we would video chat each other while working out to make sure we are staying in top physical shape, so when the NSFL does come back we can continue our winning ways. The hardest part would be maintaining the right diet as it is easy to fall back on junk food when you are stuck at home all day every day. We would need to be accountable for each other to continue to eat properly so we don't gain a whole bunch of quarantine weight.
