Since this ruling is a result of me I am going to put forth how I intend to proceed.
I have retired my player and have been informed that I have to wait until this season is over to "be an agent." Alright, fine...sort of. I do not believe "Having these things along with being an agent creates a conflict of interest, which would clearly fall under tampering." But so it goes.
This ruling states: "Any such agency relationship will be terminated." I am going to be up front and say I do not intend to comply with this as written, before you spend 8 hours thinking about it, let me explain.
Yesterday myself and 18 other members of the site invested time organizing an agency and I do not intend to let that time go to waste. I have retired my player and do not intend to handle contract negotiations until Jayce Tuck's final season is complete. I believe this would put me in compliance with the spirit and alleged intention of the rule of "protecting me" from my own tampering. I will still continue to sign members for any agent services they need at the start of the next off season.
Additionally, I intend to complete ONE negotiation with a GM and said GM's player...because you know...we are trying to have some fun here.
The agency ruling is just, hey if you want to be an agent, this is what you must check to ensure you aren't tampering.
I'm pretty excited for agents to be a thing. I'd love for there to be roles and positions that impact the league that aren't completely tied to the player experience.
I'm honestly envisioning a thing where agents get a cut of the player contract money, and agents can exist for a set amount of time. Not really sure what else would happen since bank account and money persists a player but could be tweaked in to something really interesting.

I don't really want to encourage active players to retire, but we're hiring.

Yeah I won't be retiring to do it, But I'm cool with it being a thing.
I think agents and players trying to squeeze team budgets would be better overall for the parity in the league.
The problem is, as a player, I've pretty much exclusively taken team friendly contracts because I want to win and the money doesn't matter. If agents can globally fix that league issue somehow, that would be awesome.

Hence why they would somewhat have to be unaffiliated with a team. Can't have an agent pushing for big contracts from one team only to go easier on their own team.
