Lucius Kaine is no stranger to being the king, and so far through the first of his first season in the DSFL he has been nothing but nobility. Kaine is an exceptional receiver for the Pythons who are working behind a rookie quarterback this season, Cole McCoy. Kaine has done very well despite his youth and is shaping up to be one of the most exciting prospects in the upcoming NSFL Draft. The Pythons are currently sitting in a pretty comfortable position in the NFC with a playoff spot all but secured, and with a schedule for the second half that seems pretty easy there really shouldn't be any concerns at all. As one of the most exceptional young teams consistently, the Pythons will be look to simply outperform in the second half of the season and make a serious competition out of the top spot in the NFC which is definitely looking to be a very close contest. With the Kansas City Coyotes being all but guaranteed as their first round match up in playoffs, the Pythons will need to make sure that they keep their foot on the gas and get it going at full speed the rest of the year.
Written: With Week 7 in the books, it is at the midseason point in the year for all teams in the NSFL and about midseason for the DSFL also! Write about how your team or player is feeling about their first half of the season and what they feel about the second half. (Minimum 200 Words)
Let's be honest. We're pretty awful. We have 1 win from our opening 8 games and to be honest with you I don't think we're gonna win again all season, barring a miracle. But it's not the players or the coaching that's caused this, to contradict my previous sentence, we're actually punching well above our weight. You see the NSFC is just full of such incredibly talented squads that it's next to impossible to break that 1 win barrier that seems to have stood tall and firm so far this season. The Hawks are 5-3, incredible. The Liberty are 3-5 but I've been assured from many sources that they are infact the best team in the entire NSFL. The Yeti are 2-6, an incredible season for them so far. The ASFC on the other hand is hot garbage and we've got one 8 win team (lmao) who thinks they're the leagues best (LOL) it's Philly u morons. Orange County has 7 wins but one big L (haha) and they too think they're the best team, fact check it's Philly. Nola and Arizona both only have 3 wins (rofl) and they probably think they're as good as Philly (well guess what, you're all stinkin wrong morons) I feel that we will probably get worse as we develop through the season and we might finish 1-13.
So far for Yulic Nagasawa his performance has been just average. While the Hawks have expected this type of output from their 3rd/4th receiver, Nagasawa has been very motivated to get better each game. He had the speed and ability to get by defenders but still needs to work on his strength and to get separation from his opponents. The young Japanese player has had flashes of great playmaker ability but it has not been consistent enough. When asked the GM about the rookie, “he has done what we asked of him and he looks to be ready to take the next step. We do have two very good receivers in front of him but eventually we do see him being our number two and even number one.” He now sits with 30 receptions for 430 yards. Third on the team in yards receiving and yet he has not found the end zone as of yet. That's the main thing we will see from him. I think Nagasawa will have a better second half and eventually find the end zone. But only time will tell us how he will achieve these stats. The Hawks are primed to have a good run in the second half and for them to be truly great they need that receiving depth.
Gus T.T. Showbiz and the Orange County Otters are performing about as one would have expected going into the season. The perennial playoff contender never showed any signs of slowing down, and many thought they might even be on the upswing.
With Week 10 in the books, the Otters boast an impressive league-leading (tied) record of 9-1. Only the San Jose Sabercats can boast a similar record, with most of the other teams beating up on each other and near the middle of the pack. With the Otters sole loss this season thus far coming against their conference rival, the San Jose Sabercats, the Otters need to keep their foot on the gas and never let up or they could see homefield advantage in the playoffs slip through their grasp. Many of their toughest contests are in the books, with a lone redemption game against the Sabercats still looming large. Gus T.T. Showbiz is looking to turn up his own play, as his team has been carrying most of the weight for him this season. In what was supposed to be his best season yet, he simply isn't throwing for as many touchdowns as many fantasy football enthusiasts had him pegged for. If he can turn the corner and get that under control, it'll be awfully hard to stop the Otters offensive attack.
