With being the center piece to the liberty offense for the past 3 seasons, why did you choose to test free agency? - Well, I want to preface this by saying I thoroughly enjoyed my time in Philly and I had so much fun playing there. I'll always remember my days in Philly fondly, and appreciate how the front office took a chance on the kid from Pahokee. That being said, I want to win. I didn't see myself winning in Liberty colors in the near future, which is why I decided to opt out and test free agency. I'm getting older, and I want to be able to get a ring before I end up croaking, and Baltimore is the place where I'm going to get one.
Do you think players that test free agency help or hurt their career reputation? - I think players should have plenty of freedom as to where they want to play. It's a business, and if I want to work somewhere else, I should be able to. This shouldn't hurt anybody's career reputation.
With joining the Baltimore Hawks, a team known for their historically great Runningbacks, do you think you are hiding under someone's shadow, or are you trying to outshine those that came before you? - Neither. I'm trying to continue a legacy here in Baltimore. I'm my own person, I don't care who came before me, during me, or after me. I'm gonna keep doing my thing. Look, Taylor was a legendary runningback. Me and him had our beef on the field but he's nothing but class. I want my number next to his in that wing of honor though, and continue the legacy of greatness here in Baltimore.
What is one difference that you have seen in joining the Hawks that either wasn't present or you did not see enough of with the liberty? - Well I think the overall team is much different. We have a legit squad, and I've never been more confident in saying that. Everywhere you look, you see talent on the field. From the offensive side to the defensive side.
What is more important for you to see in the upcoming season: an ultimus win, or a career high in stats? - Ultimus win, easily. It's all about the big game at the end. My stats don't matter if I'm not winning.
