Waffle has yet to set foot…..wait does he even have feet? Well regardless, yet to set foot on an ISFL field, let alone a DSFL one, so it's hard to say much about his career so far. However, like most ISFL players, his path to the league was not an easy one. It was full of hard work, dedication and sacrifice both ok and off the field. Of course Waffle also had to face the challenge of being…..well a waffle….. which came along with its own unique difficulties. For one there wasn't any equipment readily available for waffles. You had to stitch together an absolute monster of a uniform for the lad. But the biggest hardship Waffle had to face in his high school and college years was the discrimination. When he first tried out for his high school team the coach took one look at him and said, "YOU WANNA PLAY TIGHT END? BOY, YOU AIN'T GOT ANY HANDS. LITERALLY!" But Waffle proved him wrong and many others, setting receiving records along the way both through high school and his time at the Culinary Academy.

Well the road too the ISFL was a little different for the now Offensive Lineman Great Khali he accautly got his start in a diffrent sport the sport of Basketball getting drafted out of a University in India he came too Toronto too play basketball he went onto play 4 years in the pros 3 for the Ontario Legends and when the team wasnt panning out Great Khali took on a bigger role taking the leading management spot and got too do what he thought best for the team working endlessly on the trade lines he than brought this franchise too Columbus naming them the Columbus Cosmos unfortunately for Great Khali the league would fold 1 season into the rebrand of the Columbus Cosmos. Khali decided too pursue a different sport professional he enrolled in the Ohio State college too play football for them than being drafted too the DFSL for the Dallas birddogs than being drafted pro by the Austin Copperheads where he is still playing too this very day

Raphael's career has been everything I wish Ragnar's could have been. Starting off very hot and able to earn decently, getting drafted together with Leo was the main goal. I was really happy to be able to achieve this, sure we may have swayed some hands in scouting and Orange County ultimately held our fates with their choice of 1 OA, but at the end of the day they still put their money where their mouth was and mad it happen. That first season was definitely earlier playing up than we thought of at the start of our careers, wanting to be able to at lease secure a title in the dsfl, but in the end I think it worked out for the best. We have a true rookie season of stats being added into our career which will help with the ultimate goal of a hall of fame slot.
At the start the idea was to be the most imposing line in the league. As it turns out the sim doesn't work like that and the idea was destined for failure, so we switched. Leo moved over to LB and lost some weight. We still formed 2 key pieces of a very formidable defense.
The move to Arizona was due to some unfortunate circumstances. Our LR was dead and our team was struggling. We weren't doing well individually and we needed a chance. Part of me wishes that we were traded because OCO spent some good assets acquiring us, but at the same time while I'm not sure what happened they were given a pretty lengthy heads up that I at least was going to be looking.
The move paid off quickly and repeatedly. Many visits to the ultimus. 3 championships. I think we have been part of one of the most dominant teams ever over a stretch of time. Definitely delivering on that part for the play.

For all of Fat Jack's career, it has been full of a lot of "Welcome to the league" moments but interestingly enough, the biggest version of one of those versions probably came recently with being traded from the San Jose Sabercats to the New York Silverbacks. Now, it is well into Jack's career so far and so obviously there are many moments to choose from but nothing makes you feel like you are playing professional football than being traded midseason. You have to be ready for anything in the league but after being sort've scripted so far in his career with his DSFL career and then playing for his hometown Sabercats, he then had to uproot everything and move across the country to New York and play in the big apple. It was new teammates, new playbooks, new places, new everything and it all was happening while the season was still being played out. The game is around the same but you see the game as a business when being traded but so far, jack has adapted well and looks to make his mark in New York.

Midwest Emo spent most of their time in high school and college in their room, not really doing anything. In fact, it wasn't even likely that they would even play football. But every Friday in high school, every Saturday in college, they'd come out of their room and play their heart out on the field. They've struggled with a lot, emotionally. It's hard to see that sort of thing from the outside, but Midwest's struggle with depression has to be their biggest achievement every day. The constant imposter syndrome, especially when they have a bad game, is something that they live with. Because Illinois isn't that great of a football college, they dealt with a lot of rough nights where it felt like they were the only person trying. But every week, they'd show back up at practice with hope that maybe this time they could make a difference It wasn't very often, but sometimes they would have their moment, sometimes the whole team would click, and that's the moments that Midwest hold onto the most.

Jake Jefferson's "welcome to the league" moment was in his rookie season where he had to learn to deal with the greater football IQ of opposing defenders. Back at A&M, he could simply use his athletic skill to beat out opposing players, but this was exposed in the games of the Prospect Bowl where the players were bigger, faster and could close off routes with even more ease. The same went for using his legs - while Jefferson could previously use his speed and elusiveness to pull the ball down and run for a gain on any situation, once he got to the DSFL he had to learn to stay in the pocket more and resist the instinct to bail when his first read was covered. Throwing interceptions and getting hit tended to be very quick motivators for film study and practice, and by year two everything came together for Jefferson to become one of the upper-tier quarterbacks in the DSFL.

Ace's step up to the big leagues has been a weird one. Transitioning from an offensive lineman to a running back was his first hurdle and he seemed to make the switch quite easily as he racked up almost 200 rushing yards in his two games at his new position. However, the wake up call would come in S41 Week 3 against the Minnesota Grey Ducks. Ace was held to just 19 rushing yards in that game. His confidence plummeted and he was wondering if he had the chops to make it at highest level of the game. He was always used to be the first name on the team sheet and racking up big stats in dominant performances in college and now, every guy was THAT guy. Ace spoke at length with his father back him in Florida and he reminded him that nothing good comes easy and encouraged Ace to pick his chin up keep grinding. Ace returned to the team gym with a new confidence and continued to put in the effort to earn his TPE to keep improving. In the end, Ace was able to put up 1000 yard rushing season, get picked up in the first round by his home-state team, and becoming one of the best running backs in the DSFL. Ace hopes to continue the grind and continue being a force in the ISFL for years to come!

It’s been quite the career, thus far, for Blacksmith Andre. From his first game in the DSFL, where he was picked up by the Bondi Beach Buccaneers, where he was thrown into the fire, so to speak, because he just had never really played football before. He was having a hard time, and ended the season, giving up 3 sacks during the regular season. Blacksmith Andre vowed to not do that again, and throughout the playoffs, did not allow a sack as Bondi Beach went on to win the Ultimini. His following season, in the DSFL, he ended up not giving up a sack throughout the whole season, and so far in the ISFL, he’s kept the same record still, and has not given up any sacks since his waiver days. Blacksmith Andre has shown that he can continue to push forward and not allow sacks, he should be mentioned, at least this season, with some of the great offensive linemen in the league. That is what Blacksmith Andre wants to accomplish before he finds his way home, and he’s well on his way to do so.

Brian Vincent-Vega's career has been pretty smooth sailing for the most part. He had a slight sophomore slump after a promising rookie year. Although there were some concerns about his ability to adjust in the ISFL after his slump, BVV has settled down pretty nicely. After being called up by AZ in his third season, he has been a solid starter for the Outlaws secondary. Not a superstar or anything, but someone who doesn't make costly mistakes and can step up occasionally. His welcome to the ISFL moment was in his first ISFL game when Honolulu tight end Wario Gronkowski made a crazy contested catch while being double teamed by Vincent-Vega and Duvernay. Gronkowski then took it to the house for a 51 yard touchdown. He had never seen a combination of size, catching radius and speed in the ISFL. Vincent-Vega thinks of it as an humbling experience and uses it as motivation.

As this is my first character, I guess the first game I played in the DSFL would be considered my “welcome to the league” moment. I had no real context of what to expect, and here comes a little 50 TPE offensive lineman, dwarfed by all the bots on both sides of the ball, and I get completely rocked in my first game, allowing 2 sacks. I knew you had to start at the bottom, but that’s when I realized that offensive lineman would be a thankless job, and no one was going to notice you unless you were doing something wrong or getting beat on your coverage.

So I did what most players do, I learned from it, worked on my intro tasks, and tried to get a decent bank of TPE to build a reasonable player with. It was really slow going, and I saw pretty much no improvement in minors, but it definitely paid off when I got called up to the Otters, where I have been able to hold down the line at tackle and excel at doing it. Long journey, and it isn’t over yet!
