Boss Tweed doesn't have any relatives who served in the military, so he doesn't have any in particular to remember on Memorial Day. Because of this, it usually isn't really a particularly somber day for him. Instead, he uses the day to celebrate the freedom that others died fighting for. Usually, his family has a get together. He heads back home to the east coast and some of his relatives from up north come down so everyone gets to see each other. On the Sunday before Memorial Day, they go to a baseball game to see the local team in action and have a good time. On Memorial Day, everyone goes to Tweed's parents' house to visit a little bit. The family has a barbecue and has a family football game. Generally the football game starts with a big argument about which team Tweed will play on considering that he is the only professional football player in the family. The fun goes on through the evening and at nightfall they cap it off with some fireworks. Tweed's uncle usually buys the fireworks and brings them over and gets them set up. Each year he tries to outdo the previous year's firework show. Overall it's a fun a day for Tweed and his family.
