So Cameron Taylor has been in Yellowknife for 3 seasons now. If he didn't have a place locked down by now, it would be a complete failure at life. This year, Cameron has managed to lock down a nice single room apartment in downtown Yellowknife. Now, Yellowknife isn't the craziest most happening place to live. That makes rent pretty darn cheap, but it also means there's not a whole lot going on in town. It also means that all the young 20 something guys on the Wraiths likely live in the same area, or even the same building. This makes for some great building parties and some easy film sessions. Because rent is so cheap, it's not too often that team mates need to live together. There's word that the Pennington's have roomed together, even though they're paying rent for two places. They're oddly close... But it's all good. In a place so far away from home, it's nice having so many of the guys that can be like a second family. 173

Once I declared for the Season 8 DSFL Draft, I knew my life would be changing. After being selected in the second round by Tijuana, I realized that it would be changing more than I thought.

Once I knew Tijuana drafted me, I quickly realized that I would have to move down old Mexico way. Now, I'm no stranger to moving, as I was born and raised in Canada, but then moved to the USA to play for the Florida Gators. This, however, was slightly different. Going from Canada to the USA isn't a huge culture shock, but going to Mexico after those two sure is. Everything is different down there, from the culture, to the money, to the infrastructure. I'll admit I was a little skeptical about the move, but after settling in, it's become a great place to start my career. The fans down here are amazing, the team facilities are top notch, and let's be honest, the food is outrageous good. The passion that the fans bring to every game gives us a huge home field advantage and so far we've been playing well. I can't wait to continue the rest of the season and embracing my new home in Tijuana, Mexico.

Marquise Brown, the newest RB for the San Antonio Marshals, awoke with a startle as he heard the intense sound of wheels dragging along an airport runway. That sound meant that he was finally in San Antonio, Texas, a city where he'd be living and playing football for the next 1-2 years. At first, though he doesn't like to admit it, he didn't even know where San Antonio was.

"You excited, big dawg?" asked his proud father a day after his son got drafted.

"You already know Pops," Marquise replied. "Your son's California bound!"

His brother DeMarcus, who was listening in the other room, facepalmed so hard that it was audible from the living room.

Well, could you really blame him though? Marquise didn't really travel much, coming from poverty. He had only been on an airplane once, and that was for his Grandfather's funeral in Brooklyn, New York. Not to mention, San Antonio isn't really the biggest tourist destination.

Either way, Marquise was ready to take on a new challenge and explore the bustling and historic city of San Antonio and represent the city proudly.

The biggest move in Boss Tweed's career has to be what happened between Season 6 and Season 7. Getting drafted and moving across the country, but that doesn't compare to when he was traded and changed both locations and positions. After living in the United States for his entire life he moved north of the border to Yellowknife in Canada. It was an interesting transition to move between countries and to also move from a large city to a small city. At the same time, Tweed transitioned from playing running back in his first 6 seasons to playing linebacker. It was a big transition but it went pretty well as Tweed made the pro bowl in his first season as a linebacker after missing it in his final season as a running back. It was also a transition of mindset as Tweed went from playing on a rebuilding team to playing on a team that was looking to contend for an Ultimus immediately. Overall it was a lot to adjust to, but over time Tweed has gotten settled in to his new situation and is enjoying his time in Yellowknife.

With getting drafted to the NSFL, it's been a small transition physically. It's only about a 4 hour flight to get to Arizona, so it hasn't been that big of a deal. I've been on trips way longer, and it's a good thing this one wasn't. My mind had been racing for hours already wondering what was going to happen when I touched down in Arizona. I got a huge paycheck, so that'll be spent pretty well. I'm also going to be catching balls from a pro now, which will likely change what I amount to in the league.

I'm really looking forward to living in Arizona. I love the heat, but not that moist garbage. The dry heat is amazing. Going from Tijuana to Arizona will offer the same type of food, which I'm a bit disappointed about, because there's no way it's as good as it was in Mexico. I'm definitely looking forward to this year, moving into my new apartment and playing a lot of football.

Okay so changes you say? Well Roenick has moved from Canada to the USA so that is kinda a change but really, that is not a major change because Roenick has been to the USA a bunch of times but position change? Oh fucking hell glad you mentioned that. When Roenick was drafted to the NSFL by the Baltimore Hawks, The hawks demanded roenick to position change from QB to LB. Obviously Roenick has been playing QB his whole life and that comes to an end when he forced to position change. Obviously he fine with that but still, he is pissed off when everyone saying "hes the chosen one".

Roenick is actually having a successful NSFL career so far with winning rookie of the year, 2 times pro bowl and top in the tackles area. If people were not such dicks, maybe life would be easy. Now if roenick can buy an interception or pass block.

Written: Must Include 150 Words. With the NSFL and DSFL drafts over and the regular season starting for both leagues, most players have had to move in some form or the other. Whether it's a position, a place, or any other changes there are plenty of new opportunities for rookies and veterans alike. Write about this sort of opportunity for your player.

Yellowknife recently picked up linebacker Chad Pennington out of Syracuse University. The boisterous and outspoken linebacker is apart of the three headed monster that is the Pennington family which has taken the NSFL, but more importantly Yellowknife by storm who managed to pick up 2/3rds of the Pennington family with the addition of Thad Pennington the safety who is spending another season in the DSFL to develop.

Both players played with Tijuana in the DSFL in S7 and the young Thad Pennington is down for round 2 for S8. Critics have expressed concern about the safety's speed and ability to react during game deciding scenarios and have cited this as the primary reason for the safeties extended stay in the DSFL.

Lavelle is hoping to mentor the young defensive back when he returns to Yellowknife training camps before S9's start and many have speculated about him being the "golden child", the one to possibly succeed Lavelle as the leader of the Yellowknife secondary. After all, realistically how long will Lavelle actually play out there?

Back in the inaugural season, Alexandre LeClair got drafted to the Wraiths as a Quarter-Back. After front office decided to go with Chris Orosz instead at the end of pre-season, LeClair swapped roles to Wide Receiver. The change was ultimately beneficial for him as he has been performing well since then and without being challenged by another person for his spot.

Another opportunity opened up was the S2 expansion and the Las Vegas Legion trading for him. It was, at the time a great opportunity as LeClair felt that Josh Garden was taking up too much space in the Wraiths locker room. Ultimately it was a bad decision as the team did not have any direction and ultimately moved to New Orleans.

The last opportunity came when LeClair requested a trade out of Vegas and was traded to Baltimore. The Hawks have been a great place for him as his partnership with Trey Willie and Avon Blocksdale has had him perform at his best. Now the only thing missing is an Ultimus Cup.
