[div align=\\\"center\\\"]DSFL Draft Review: Best Player from Each Round
The following analysis is completely speculatory and the opinion of IH[/div]

The DSFL draft can be a bit of a crapshoot. Some players can come out of the draft late and surprise, some first rounders can fall off and be huge disappointments. Today I will take a look at each of the eight rounds and pick one player, from that respective round, analyze their potential and give you a reason they are the best from that round.
Top Picks Per Round
Round 1: Adriana Falconi - QB
Falconi is maybe the top prospect in this draft. She's a first to the league, as a female gunning for a starting Quarterback position in the near future. With her skills and polish, I can see Falconi not only starting early in the DSFL but she will make the leap to the NSFL sooner than many will expect - depending on her draft location. I expect her to once again go in the top round of the NSFL draft next season and we could be looking at one of the best quarterbacks in the league in a few seasons. I wouldn't be surprised if Falconi was drafted 1st overall in the S10 NSFL draft.
Round 2: Joliet L. Christ - QB
I hate going two quarterbacks in a row but I feel that Christ has shown his commitment to being a great player in this league. While I think he upside is below that of Falconi, there is no doubt that JLC went only one pick after Falconi. He takes a balanced approach at the QB position and will be an important part of the Pythons in this upcoming season. I project seeing JLC go in the top two rounds of the S10 NSFL draft. All of it depends on his continued growth at the QB position and his season in Portland. I honestly feel he'll be a top 5 pick in the S10 NSFL draft.
Round 3: Emilia Rudd - TE
Big time Tight Ends are few and far between in most leagues. Rudd is exactly that - and in spades. She has you look for in a big time playmaking tight end. From good hands to blazing speed (for someone that plays the position). I feel the spot in which Emilia was picked, frankly, was too low. She should have at least gone in the 2nd round. Huge steal for the Marshalls. I could see Rudd going in the first round of the NSFL draft, as she brings something that many teams need.
Round 4: Damien Arnold - S
Arnold is peculiar pick. He could become an absolutely beast in the league or fall off completely. At this point I will give him the benefit of the doubt and say that he is going to develop in spade for the Portland Pythons. Arnold lives on pure speed. Coming into the league with blazing speed (for the DSFL), Arnold should have a good beginning to his career playing in the Portland secondary. He's more the competent to step in right away and make some noise. Could be a pretty good steal for Portland.
Round 5: Danny Grithead - RB
Grithead has shown great promise. Falling to the 5th round is kind of strange for someone who has shown as much potential as he has in h is short time in the league. Like our previous player, Arnold, Grithead lives off of his speed. With the ability to shift into another gear and run away from defenders, Danny Grithead could end up being one of the best backs in this draft and someone a lot of teams could be kicking themselves for not drafting. Has fairly good NSFL draft potential as well. Great pick in the 5th for KC.
Round 6: Nate Piazza - S
The sixth round of the DSFL draft didn't look too promising. There are a couple players in Nate Piazza and Ricky Flores to keep your eyes on, but all the players drafted in round six could end up to be huge flops. I chose Piazza because I feel he does have some good upside, if he decides to be committed to the league. Not a lot to talk about here. He's a solid safety. None of the picks in Round 6 scream "top tier" to me. Flores, with continued activity, could become a huge steal and I will probably revisit this later and realize how wrong I was about him.
Round 7: Felix Hasselhoff - WR
One of the surprises of the draft was seeing Hasselhoff fall to the 7th round. With such a lackluster previous round and some major reaches in others, the selection of Hasselhoff this late was a surprise to many - especially Hasselhoff himself. Felix has shown of talent to be in the top three rounds of the draft and since has continued to take strides, showing that his draft location was quite wrong. What a huge win for Portland. Hasselhoff has blazing speed, one of the top in the draft class, and his tools will continue to grow. At this point he has the opportunity to redeem himself in the NSFL draft with a top round selection if he continues on his trajectory.
Round 8: None
I don't forsee either player picked in the 8th Round to ever make any impact in the DSFL, let alone the NSFL, as they will both be fodder. Their talent is not invisible but I doubt either player really cares about football enough to push forward and become something special. One never knows though, as they could surprise and turn into servicable DSFL players.
Overall, I would say the Pythons and Marshals had the most productive draft and added the most impact players. While the Luchadores, despite getting what could turn out to be the best player in the draft, really dropped the ball with their drafting. They added some solid players but could have had a few more truly impact players - especially with the picks they had floating around in the 4th Round.
