My incredibly long prime has made this decision very difficult, after all it's tough at the top.

While I haven't officially announced my retirement, I do hope that this post gives me a spector esque lease on life...without the cloning part. Lavelle later went on to achieve his greatest ever season which included a DPotY , DBotY and a ninth consecutive pro bowl nomination when staying with Yellowknife. While it is true that Lavelle could have achieved similar stats in Philly due to the sheer volume of snaps played on defense, plus he would've been able to play QB and dot up some folks. I am unsure of how it would be perceived by the NSFL community as a whole and whether it would've affected his legacy. Also the lack of a pass rush might have even hindered his individual stats. The money obviously was there and while it wouldn't have longtime affected my decision, being on a relatively empty team as they enter a tough rebuild is always going to be different. Especially coming from a incredibly active and tight knit LR such as Yellowknife. But offering such a gigantic contract and the perks that came with it while I'm still on this player obviously makes me interested in Philly on my recreate whenever that might/might not be.

Interceptions wise I'm at 44, with Delacour, Canton, Marme, Hardrool, Flock, and Verns already retired or retiring soon. That leaves Allen Davis (27) , Blackford Oakes (27) and Benson Bayley (27) as the players who really have a shot at surpassing Lavelle if he retired this moment. The same goes for Andre Bly Jr who already has 21 interceptions in only 77 games. Same people again for pass deflections. I have no real urge to play with any particular cornerback, just don't let it be Zhang. |
