Most media pieces that are released are of a positive nature. This one, however, will not be one of those. This is a list you don't want yourself or your teammates near the top of consistently. We will be looking at the drop stats of NSFL wide receivers in the first week of the season.
Some facts before we get to the individual players:
-16 wide receivers caught at least 1 pass in Week 1.
-Of those 16, 11 of them had at least 1 drop.
-There were 21 total drops from wide receivers in the 3 games that were played.
-8 drops were on 1st down
-9 drops were on 2nd down
-4 drops were on 3rd down
Player - Team - Drops
C. Christmas - Hawks - 3
R. Phelps - Otters - 3
Stormblessed - Outlaws - 3
B. Cook - Sabercats - 2
J. Garden - Wraiths - 2
D. Law - Yeti - 2
B. Westfield - Otters - 2
K. Bronko - Outlaws - 1
L. Jefferson - Outlaws - 1
R. Lecavalier - Hawks - 1
A. LeClair - Wraiths - 1
As we can see our WRs had a serious case of brick hands this week, they couldn't catch a cold. It was the first career game for these guys so maybe there was a lot of nerves throughout the league. I recommend some pine tar or Stickum for these young pass catchers until they improve their hands. Or perhaps some serious time with the JUGS machine would just be what the doctor ordered.
