I'm not here for critique when it comes to my grade, it shouldn't even be 1/2 as strict

I would hope everyone would understand that when a guy loses $450,000 on sigs that both look worthy of a 5 on what was likely hours of work that he is going to be pissed haha.

And i dont want to throw a bunch of shade or anything, but there was a sig graded by NUCK as well that was literally a render, a background, and some text, and that got a 4. I dont think theres anything wrong with that, especially if he was really a new graphics guy, but if we want to be relaxed its not fair to give one guy a break because hes new, and then judge ridiculously hard because he's experienced

I agree that a person's experience shouldn't affect their grade. That doesn't seem fair.

It's a tough road either way to be sure. I know nothing about graphics but let's take my analytical media piece I submitted as an example. Sure I know some statistics (nothing too crazy) and lots about spreadsheets and analytics, so for me to do that kind of a data piece isn't an all-day project (still takes time and effort though).

Now let's say another guy wants to talk analysis and doesn't really have the same experience but still puts forth a lot of effort in data collection, figures out an appropriate methodology, and has a little trial and error. He ends up doing an analysis on what wide receivers are the most consistent week-to-week by comparing their standard deviation, a rather simple metric by analytical standards but something he worked really hard on and still provides really interesting results.

That might take me 20 minutes, it could take a beginner hours depending how long they spent researching proper methodologies for their piece. I'd hate to see him measured using the same yardstick as me just because I do this for a living.

For the picture grading, perhaps an appeal process for those who feel as if they have been judged harshly where they can voice their concerns in a clear manner to the grading team who can then reflect on the decision and have the head graders decision be final.
