Rumours are swirling out of the draft combine that Aksel Danielsson and Grasyon Kuusela have told NSFL scouts that they wish to play together and that drafting them as a pairing will satisfy them to endless happiness and will only push them to train harder than they already are.
The friendship of this "new" duo apparently comes from the football players' fathers who were one of the best defensemen pairings the NHL ever saw nearly 20 years ago. Steve Kuusela and Axel Danielsson were not only a great pairing on the ice, but were best friends off the ice while playing for the Boston Bruins. This father friendship led to the friendship of the sons who played nearly every season of football together. This streak came to an end when both players went their separate ways in the past DSFL draft.
However, rumours have popped up that the pairing wishes to remain intact in the NSFL. Here's what Aksel had to say about that.
"Yea I'd like to play in the NSFL with my good friend. So what? It's better for us and the team drafting us as it'll only push both of us to be the best we can be. Next question please."
Will this effect both of their draft stocks? Will NSFL teams disregard this request and separate the players? Lots of questions are needed to be answered after this past draft combine.
