After being snubbed for DB of the Year every season in his career except for 1, Oakes has decided to retire after this season.

Notable career events are:
-Surviving the Las Vegas Mass Retirement despite Keygan's best efforts
-Going to 4 straight Ultimus Bowls with New Orleans and winning 2
-Going to 6 straight Ultimus Bowls (and counting) overall
-Being named Defensive Player of the Game in the Season 12 Ultimus
-Logging out at least 14 different users

Oakes is:
-1 interception away from tying Phillippe Carter for most career playoff interceptions
-16 interceptions away from tying Dermot Lavelle (dirty cheater that he is) for most career interceptions (not happening but 6 clear of 3rd place Antoine Delacour)
-453 interception return yards away from tying Dermot Lavelle (dirty cheater that he is) for most career interception return yards (not happening and just 59 ahead of 3rd place and new teammate Andre Bly Jr)
-each defensive touchdown next season will move him into a new tie: 1 for 4th, 2 for 3rd, 3 for 4th, and 4 for 1st
-probably pretty high on the DB-only tackle and sack leaderboards but not sure
-perhaps the last active player to never play a DSFL game?
-not doing shoutouts
-about to recreate
