Week 6
@GoodLeftUndone
The Colorado Yeti defeated the Baltimore Hawks 27 - 21 to improve to 5-1 on the season. The Hawks fall to 2-4 on the year. After being knotted up 14-14 at half, the Yeti pulled away in the second half. The Hawks wouldn’t have been in the game at all if it weren’t for the play of their star wide receiver Damian West. The young WR caught six passes for 115 yards and added 69 yards on returns. West had a big 40 yard catch on the Hawks first scoring drive, West was brought down on the 2 yard line, but the Hawks would eventually punch it in for the touchdown. West would find the endzone late in the fourth quarter, snatching a 1 yard fade in the back corner of the endzone from Kyubee.

The Yellowknife Wraiths have a flair for the dramatic. It seems like every one of their games is decided in the last few minutes, and their matchup against the Orange County Otters this week was no different. The Otters went into the 4th quarter with a 13-3 lead behind a great rushing effort from Omar Wright. Paving the way for Wright was OL Cliff Hamilton. The offensive lineman had a great game picking up 9 pancakes, while not allowing a sack or having a penalty flag thrown his way. Despite his great performance, the Wraiths would mount a huge fourth quarter comeback. The Wraiths opened the 4th quarter with a Josh Garden TD catch to bring the game within a score (13 - 10). The Wraiths defense held the Otters offense in check, setting up the game eventual game winning drive orchestrated by Chris Orosz. The Wraiths QB found Garden and Alex LeClair open for big gains through the air. Those passes would set up the Bubba Nuck 1 yard touchdown run with just 59 seconds left on the clock. After a missed extra point, the Wraiths walked away with the victory 16 - 13.

The San Jose Sabercats took on the Arizona Outlaws on primetime. The Outlaws secondary put up another outstanding performance headlined by safety converted to corner, Isaiah Rashad. Rashad becomes the league’s first player to receive two “Have a Day” jerseys. On the opening drive of the game, Sabercats QB Jameis Christ was intercepted by Rashad. The Outlaws cornerback would take the interception all the way back for a touchdown. This was the first of two defensive touchdowns for the Outlaws, as the team put in an all around dominating performance en route to an easy 23 - 3 win.
