Hello there NSFL players, gms, and alumni. As you might've seen in the official discord I have been working on a project on Madden 2006, which is one of the best sports games of all time. In this beginning part I will be explaining some rules and basics.
--------------------------------------------------------------------
Basics And Rules
If you have ever played Madden 2006 on PC, Gamecube, Xbox, etc then you might know that it has many features for creativity and realistic simulation. One of the modes in this game is a tournament mode which will make setting this up really simple instead of rigging a franchise mode play through. When it comes to teams every player on the Roster page of the appropriate team is on the Madden Roster up until the 3rd string (Ex if there is 3 HBs on a team only 2 will be on the madden roster). When setting up and creating players, due to the fact that ratings work differently in Madden then Football GM i had to set up how certain stats would work for different positions. Below are gonna be the Ratings rules and how they will work
ALL STATS HAVE A MINIMUM OF 50 ON THE ROSTER
Since Intelligence is essentially Awareness they are the same and you will always have a minimum on 75 awareness on the roster so players aren't complete trash.
Your agility stat on GM Sim will work as your Agility AND Acceleration on madden.
Hands will work as the Catching and Carrying stat with exception for RB who always have minimum of 75
Jumping and Break Tackle will use the same stats as Catching and Agility with Break tackle always being the higher stat (Ex if catching is 90 and Agility is 75 then Break Tackle will be 90 and Jump will be 75, or if Catching is 50 and Agility is 85, Then Break Tackle will have 85 and Jump will be 50).
Endurance will be the Stamina/Injury/Toughness stats in Madden and will ALWAYS be set at 99 for players.
If your college was nonexistent or not in madden then I either just got the closest thing letter wise (EX Edmonton University is closest to ECU), or I just used the first college on the list.
The created teams will always have generic no names at O-lineman and MLB so i will only be keeping stats for The other positions.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This tournament will be a Single Elimination but i have added a 3rd place game for the losing teams.
Pictures will be low quality due to the fact that im using an Iphone to take pictures of a projector screen, and then porting it over to my computer
Now let the Tournament Commence
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Philadelphia Liberty @ Baltimore Hawks
Starting off we have Phili @ Baltimore to start off the playoffs
Baltimore who went an amazing 12-2 to finish the season is looking to go to another ultimus and finish off a dream season.
Philadelphia went an admirable 8-6 and want to show that they are not the underdogs they seem to be and prove their worth as NSFL champions
When the two teams were pitted against each other earlier in the season, First in week 6 where the Hawks demolished the Liberty by a score of 48-10, and a second time in week 13 where the Liberty got revenge with a convincing 30-17 win.
Lets get this game started

This was a very disappointing game by both sides as no team scored a touchdown and struggled on offense. Hopefully Baltimore can play better in the Ultimas
OCO @ SJS
Our second game of the first round includes 8-6 Orange County Otters traveling to San Jose to play the Sabercats 11-3. J Christ is trying to get a perfect 3-0 series on the Otters as they've beaten them in week 2 (27-17) and again in week 8 (31-14). Lets continue this seasons playoffs with hopefully more offense

Well with the simulated Ultimas in the books, that should do it for this Sim. As of now Madden 06 has predicted the same two teams in the Ultimas AND the winners and final score, predicting that Baltimore will have 0 Tds, and 18 combined points while SJS dominates. That should do it for this Prediction and please note that If your player didn't pop up in the stats, its either due to them doing nothing or they were not in the roster which only accommodates for 3rd and below on the depth chart. As of 3:22 PM CST on 6/13/2019 this will be up to date with the Ultimas
