Man, I could really take this title to a more serious talk, but that is just getting too deep for what this is about. Hi, i'm Pete Parker. Yes I said PETE Parker, not PETER. I am not trying to come off as defensive or rude with that sentence but when you grow up in New York and with Peter Parker being from here it gets rather irritating when everyone thinks you are him. It especially doesn't help when you apparently look just like the guy. I mean, Spiderman is cool and all, just gets annoying when people keep trying to say that you are him when you aren't. Although, I do like the fact that I have gotten the nickname "Spidey" out of it. Sorry, was kind of falling off topic with all that other talk.
Anyway, i'm Pete and I am from New York. Parents were always great to me growing up. Never had any bad incidents, or any crazy stories. I mainly just stuck to myself and a few good friends of mine. I am not the person to go out and party, or drink, or do any types of those things. I was a stay inside type of guy who was either always on the computer, or doing homework, with my family, or playing video games. I never would have thought that I would be in the position that I am in now if I looked back to where I was just a few years ago. Time really flies.
To be honest I never was really into sports that much. Like I enjoyed watching them and rooting for certain players, but I never had the urge to play the sport myself. So, you would wonder how the hell I ended up here, right? Well, being in college we would get bored and just hang around, and like I said I never played the sport but we would occasionally toss the football around. Then one day in my Freshman year, a group of guys came around and asked if we would like to play. I thought it would be a good chance to make new friends and said why not. I reassured them that I have never played and they said it would be fine since we were just playing for fun. We played and I guess I did pretty well. To the point where people didn't actually believe that I haven't played before. Saying that I have great speed and an eye for the ball. Like I knew how to place myself to get to the ball. (I played mainly on defense when we played). So they suggested that I try out for the schools team, and I did, and made the team.
Now this is how I got the nickname "Spidey" with my name and my apparent sense to get to the ball just fit together so the coach just started to call me Spidey instead of my actual name, which I didn't mind. Then came people telling me about here. Saying it could give you a chance at playing professionally and everyone is really nice and helpful. I'm hoping I can help any team that I end up on and just want to perform well. I don't care for selfish things like tons and tons of money or breaking records (although both would still be nice), I just want to play some ball and meet some cool people. I have had some interactions already with a few people that are apart of this league so it is not like I am feeling like a stranger being here or that I have no clue to where I am. It is nice to the few that I have talked to are so cool and chill about everything. Been already contacted by a few scouts, which I know they want to know everything to see if it is worth it to choose me, which to anyone who does it is. I am a very oriented and focused person so if I am putting my eyes and brains to something I will do it. Trying to get the most out of what I can be as a player. So to finish it all off, hi once again everyone! I'm Pete Parker, the once inside kid from New York that is now the up and coming Safety in the league!
