[div align=\\\"center\\\"]Breaking News Out of Baltimore
[/div]
Hello fine folk of the NSFL. As the S17 Ultimus, and consequently the end of @iseedoug's and my GMing career, inches closer, the Baltimore Hawks have an important announcement to make.
As their first official acts as General Managers, Icy Douglas and Epictitus Milburn enshrined Avon Blocksdale, Trey Willie, and Kurt Hendrix in the Baltimore Hawks Wing of Honor. Today, as their second-to-last official act as General Managers (the last being the S17 Ultimus), Douglas and Milburn have the distinct honor to induct two more members.
What is the Wing of Honor?
Admission to the group is purposefully high, and the distinction great. The current members of the Wing of Honor are:
Class of S10:
Turk Turkleton
Owen Taylor
Antoine Delacour
Class of S13:
Avon Blocksdale
Trey Willie
Kurt Hendrix
Today, we present the two newest members: Austin Roenick and Childish Gambino
As is tradition, we caught up with a current Wing of Honor member for his thoughts on the inductions. Avon Blocksdale had this to share.
On Austin Roenick: “The consummate team player, Roenick was the best middle line backer I’ve ever seen play in the league. He was a lynchpin on our defense, and a great guy in the locker room. There’s no better guy to induct to our wing of honor. Can’t wait for him to be inducted to the hall of fame. Sure I was QB of the offense, but Roenick? That dude QBed the defense..”
On Childish Gamino: “There is so much you can say about Childish Gambino. Not many people could excel at two positions, but Gambino did. He was an outstanding defender and is a top 4 QB of all time in our league. In spite of his accomplishments Gambino was humble and only moved to QB because we needed him to. Not many could follow me, but he was amazing and in many ways surpassed me. An absolute legend.”
Congratulations!! Thank you for sharing your talents with our proud organization and know that you always have a home in Baltimore.

Quote:Instituted in S10, the Wing of Honor enshrines those players for the Baltimore Hawks who demonstrate leadership and character off the field, high quality of play, and dedication to the Hawks organization by playing at least half of their career with the team.
