Hello everyone, it's Jeremy Shoemaker here sitting down with Zach Hall, Defensive End for the Philadelphia Liberty.
JS: How are you doing today Zach?
ZH: I'm doing great Shoemaking, ready to get out there and play.
JS: Well now that the new season is starting how do you feel with your new team and how has Philly welcomes you?
ZH: Well I love the new team. The guys are great and the coaches really know what they are doing. We have a great defense and I can't wait to take the field with them. Dropson is in the locker room so it's kinda awkward with him dropping everything near him and him talking about how they almost won an Ultimini but it's getting better.
As for Philly, I love the city and its fans. I know they booed me on draft night because they were hoping for someone bigger and probably someone that wasn't a project piece but I've been to a Phillies games and been to a couple events and the fans are starting to like me. Hopefully after the game this week they'll love me.
JS: Talking about this weeks game; You're making your debut against Colorado who was linked to you heavily during the draft. Is there any bad blood there?
ZH: I wouldn't say it's bad blood since I did get drafted before they had a chance to draft me but it's a little extra to think about when a team says they'll do anything to get you and then they just don't. They tried to sell all these ideas of how great they would be and then they couldnt even try to make a trade but I'm glad they didn't. I love Philly and I love my team. I'm sorry to Wolfie for how many times he'll be face down in the grass come game day.
JS: This will be your first game not only in the NSFL but as a defensive end. Any nerves going into this game?
ZH: Of course theres nerves. I've dreamt of this moment my entire life. The nerves are different though. Normally before games I'm looking at a playbook and preparing myself to run routes and catch passes but now I'm just getting ready to hit people. It's a whole lot less stressful. We have some great leaders on the defense who have helped mold me into the position and I'm just excited to show the league what I can do.
JS: Well that seems to be all the time we have. Thanks Zach for making it on today.
ZH: Anytime Shoe!
