Hunt Forgoes Out of Senior Year at ISU
Will join the upcoming S1 NSFL Draft.

See ya later Huntie.
Ethan Hunt, ISU's very own feel good story, will now leave the Bengals, forgoing his senior year at Idaho State University. The Thunder Bay Native joined Idaho State University back in 2014 in order to give the Bengals extra quarterback depth. Originally pinned to be the Bengals' permanent back-up quarterback, Hunt's remarkable improvement over the 3 years at ISU saw him quickly jump up on the Bengals' depth chart as he soon became the starting quarterback, beating out junior Paul Hathaway and freshman James Skinner in Hunt's sophomore season.
"It's been a tremendous time at Idaho State." Hunt told the ISU Gazette. "I definitely won't forget the memories and times I've had here over the years. Grateful that they've helped propel my football career to the professional level, hopefully. Best of luck to the Bengals next year."
While Hunt leaving hurts the Bengals' chances for the playoffs this upcoming season, thankfully the fairly deep depth at the quarterback division with senior Caleb McNeil, sophomore DeMarcus LeBert, junior James Skinner and sophomore Daniel Craig all battling for the starting quarterback spot, will help lessen the blow by Hunt's departure.
"All the best wishes to Ethan." Bengals' Head Coach John Simmerson said during a brief press conference. "He's been a class act since he got here, a great overall player and a hard worker. It's tough to see a guy who battled for that starting position leave without a final oomf, but it's his decision and the Bengals organization here at ISU respects it."
