I have brought this up before but we really need to introduce a restricted free agency period to protect teams and get them compensation for when a player just bounces after a team invests draft capital into a player only for them to run off to be with their friends. This is not for any particular player, but for a broad net of protection since we obviously do not want bad teams to stay bad and some shallow drafts with their first round pick going off the next season is not ideal in any sense of the word. Compensation also should not be based off draft position, but TPE count in the form of a bracket. It would be realistic for a draft bust to go to FA after a season, not some stud rookie. Another thing I would allow is no restrictions on articles that attack or insult players, thus users not needing to ask for permission. That makes articles lame if another use gets a heads up and sees it coming, taking away the shock factor. A lot of people claim that they can't separate player from user but I can and we should take each article through a case by case basis in fact there is something that targets a user directly.
8) Scouting Report
Written: Write a scouting report for one of the incoming draftees in either the NSFL or DSFL.
Reynaud Haugland s considered one of the top 5 Tight Ends in the upcoming NSFL Entry Draft, widely put in the range of 3-4 behind Firestorm-Fjord and McDavid who will slot in ahead of him. Haugland is considered an all around Tight End, but his numbers are not particularly eye popping since Norfolk ran two tight ends in their formation but from the eye test it as clear that Reynaud was outright better, and had the best hands on the team-- Yet was not used. Lack of trust from the coaching staff? Is there some form of animosity between him and the QB? He is intense and his personal nature of head butting with others is a definite detraction to the man who was almost shipped out of Norfolk earlier in the year. He has good speed for a player of his size, but nothing out of the ordinary. His strength is alright? It worked out fine enough since he made no mistakes but scouts wanted to see them more involved as a blocker. He is not faster than the higher ranked TEs, nor has he shown to be physically stronger. Heck, McDavid shows flashes of being a better catcher as well so the rankings are clear cut here. Haugland needs to add more dimensions to his game and fill out, he is expected to go somewhere in the 4th round.
7) Next Year
Written: If your team didn’t win the title this year, why do you believe they can win the next year (or the year after that)?
Okay so given how the draft works I am likely to be sent down again, unless I am asked to make some sort of position change to fit the NSFL's team needs--I am open to going straight up but let us speak as if I will be back in Norfolk. I feel that the team get a good job getting chances to allow their offense opportunities but it started to became clear later in on the season that Cal was just not improving, which is a big blow to the Seawolves since he was taken so high in the DSFL draft. Norfolk's QB recorded the most interceptions in the league with 20, 4 more than the next worst. Rated just below the league average, Cal is not going to pair well with the receivers on the team if he does not improve so this may be painful to say but the team SHOULD look to get another QB to give a look to that may be able to take that next step if Cal is so unwilling to do so. Overall Norfolk just needs to keep improving in other areas of the team while having a solid draft and they have some really good players that can be the core of this team. Rushing game is efficient with their two headed monster, and their O-LINE only allowed 20 sacks, 2nd in sacks, T-2 in interceptions, most TDs made by a defense with 4. They had all the pieces but when a QB mails it in, what can you do?
