So it's been awhile since I've attempted and submitted any media pieces here and I feel bad about it in a way. With that said, I'll skip the whole explanation and just get to what's on my mind cause if I don't start writing what I have, I'll end up losing it all.
Now S22 will be my 6th season in the NSFL, excluding the DSFL and it will be my first outside of New Orleans. Being drafted with their 3rd pick in S17, I've called New Orleans home for the past five seasons. Literally starting from the bottom and ultimately winning the Ultimus this past season, I feel I could of left more out on the field for my teammates and the fans in the Big Easy. Being selected in the expansion draft by Sarasota was a bittersweet moment indeed as a few days have ran off the calendar now and it continues to be pounded in my head that the guys in New Orleans always made me felt welcomed even when I was hard on myself. I'm excited about this next chapter on my journey. S22 is my final season on my last NOLA contract so no doubt I'll have migraines this upcoming off-season. Before that though we're in the midst of training camp in Florida and I'm focused on this season with the Sailfish.
The Sarasota Sailfish organization has been great since my arrival along with the multiple other expansion picks and the recent S22 draft class. The atmosphere and energy on team grounds is ecstatic and everyone is eager to go represent this great new franchise on the field.
RainDelay and Frostbite are establishing a foundation I believe and see can have our team explode positively sooner rather than later. To share the cornerback position with a more popular name in this league in Lucas Knight is an honor for me. I look to pick his brain on a regular during practice and position meetings to fully maximize my game as I'm heading into my prime. Other great names I'll be competing against in practice are former WR turned OLineman, Laszlo Forty-Two and fellow S17 WR draftee, Devin Banks. We are a very young team so success might be a little ways down the road and plenty of things will come into consideration during free agency but for right now, I'm locked in to exceed my production I put out on the field last season.
