Nobody thought Dallas would still be in the ultimini picture 3 weeks ago while we sat at the bottom of the DSFL’s southern conference with a 2-5 record. Here we are though. 5-5 tied for second and only outside of the playoffs because of a tiebreaker. This will be the make or break week for the Birddogs as it will be the final road stretch of the season, and taking a win from one (or both) of the top two teams in the DSFL would signal our arrival on the scene as contenders in our expansion season.

The final two games are home games against teams with the same record as us in which we are testing very well. As favorites in these final two games, a win against Kansas City or Myrtle Beach would make us playoff, and ultimately Ultimini contenders immediately.

Dallas’ three game win streak was launched by some superb defensive play that even carried over from some of the games they lost just before the win streak began. With the offense beginning to find their feet as well, the Birddogs will be coming into their own at the perfect time in the season, and their threat will only continue to grow. Watch out DSFL... we’re coming.

I am not entirely sure if the Dallas Birddogs have a shot at the Ultimini, but making the playoffs is clearly the first step. Right now Dallas is tied with 3 out of 4 teams in the south with a record of 5 and 5, and the one team ahead of them is only at 6 and 4. With 4 games left to play it's actually quite possible that the Birddogs manage a playoff berth in their first season as a team. Unfortunately they have to start the next 2 games on the road and will need to squeeze out a road win, or two to really get into the playoffs. If they lose these two on the road the best record they can end the season with would be 7 and 7, which I think is just short of what they would need to make it in. Let's say we do pull off a win on the road and win both our home games, I think we'd have a place in the playoffs for sure, but making it to the finals and winning it would be a difficult feat for a 1st year expansion team, I would be elated if we could though.

It looks like anybody's conference in the SFC South. Myrtle Beach is in pole position, but everyone else finds themselves just a game behind. And despite the best point differential and defense in the conference, Norfolk find themselves in the last position. With three away games in their last four Norfolk is going to hope they take their decent away form into them and ball out. Norfolk is a curious case, because I'd like to point out how they could improve, but what am I to say? Their offense is slightly above average. The addition of more wideouts could add some more dynamism to the offense. Although a ground and pound game is the DSFL's bread and butter (and Norfolk's double-headed backfield is one of the more efficient in the league) it's been horribly ineffective at converting 3rd downs. The QB play could use improvement, but Norfolk is home to the league touchdown leader and one of the most efficient passers in the DSFL. On the defensive side Norfolk is exceptional, although their run stopping ability is very poor, only Tijuana has been less effective against the run. This years crop of LBs are smaller, speedier guys who are exceptional in pass coverage, but have difficulty holding these oversized runners to miniscule gains. If Norfolk can replenish their WR and LB corps I think they'll have a great opportunity to take an Ultimini next year. And if they're lucky, they'll have a supreme Safety returning to keep the defensive unit solid.

Before the season started, we were a bunch of hopeful rookies and some sent down players, who didn‘t really know what to expect of the season. A huge draft class, an expansion, what will the season bring?

After the first contact in the locker room for this new team it soon was clear that there was a goal in sight at the end of the season. Winning together. As the season started and went on, the hype was growing bigger and bigger until were we are now. The Kansas City Coyotes are on top of the NFC. But not only that, we also have the #1 seed in the whole DSFL which would grant home field advantage all up to the Ultimini. And that is the goal. We tasted what winning is like, we have grown stronger over the past weeks and we are confident to win it all.

The team, lead by a brilliant GM duo, leads the league in points allowed and is second in points scored. There is talent on offense, defense and special teams, which fuses together to a special combination. This amazing mix brought KCC a 7-3 record with 4 games remaining. The team is set up and highly motivated to thrive to greatness and win it all this year. The will to improve throughout the season and grow as a team is what makes this years Kansas City Coyotes so special. There is no doubt in the locker room that we are the frontrunner for winning the Ultimini and we want to prove the world, that we can do it.

The Chicago butchers are pretty much mathematically eliminated from playoff contention, but it’s good to theorize about how to make Chicago great again. Step 1, Is get the team younger, with an expansion draft in 2 weeks, it’s time to get for the team to drink from the fountain of youth. The obvious move is to trade older veterans off the team, the specific players im looking at are, Ryan Leaf Jr, Mike Hockertz, and even to some extend, Thorian Skarsgard, all are either at their prime or approaching the end of their playing careers. Step 2 is probably their biggest need right now, hire a new pair of GMs. This is truly an urgent need for this franchise, with Valor and Steelsound unexpectedly resigning for two very different reasons. With the new GM eventually hired their guy, they must embrace the ideal of tanking for higher draft stock in a likely smaller draft class in S23. The 3rd step is obviously updating the team culture, a move that Valor unfortunately could not accomplish, this new pair of GM’s should be able to do this, and by 4-6 seasons from now, we’ll look at this as someone who either had a dalorian or was in bloodline of Nostradamus.

Sitting in second place in the DSFL, the Buccaneers are looking forward to the Ultimini already. We're ready, we know we're the best team in the DSFL, and we're going to do anything we can to get to the big game. We're all getting our updates in, with two rookies hitting 200 TPE, and 3 more in the 190's. We know it's going to be tough with how big of a class this is, and how many great earners there are, but we're up to the challenge and in the best shape of our lives. Personally, I have done just about everything I can to get my stats up before the season ends, but due to some league administered injuries it's tough to really get dominant over the wide receivers in the league right now. I've been running, jumping, doing anything I can to get in front of those passes and bat them away. It's time for me personally to play like the corner back I know I can.

Our General managers have been grinding in practice, moving our players around to see who works where, or what schemes will give us an edge. They're the crazed scientists in the lab tweaking percentage points to see what's going to give us that final goal, the ultimini.

Ultimus dreams huh. Well I'll get there eventually, but for now I'll just be worryin about the Ultimini. Because Myrtle Beach has some business to finish. We have two QBs to help us along the way too. One is yours truly, Chris Ramos, who specializes in throwing pick sixes against Tijuana. The other is Tom Sofa who specializes in wack ass penalties. So with the two of us how could we ever lose?

In all honesty, though, I think we definitely have a good shot at the Ultimini because we got the drive in us. this season the DSFL has been pretty closely fought, with few massive standouts and teams that outright suck, so its really anyone's game.
From then it comes down to who's got the most actives, and thats us, the Beach Boys. We keep adding more actives too because apparently alot of new players have joined our discord over the last couple days. They'll be able to help us out as well, and together we can dream of the Ultimini, I can practically taste it!

Our WRs have gotten alot better too, and giving reps to guys like Garfield Despacito Jr and James Angler the TE make it easier for me to throw the ball. Sure, I can get the ball there, but having dudes that can catch makes my job a whole lot more efficient. By the playoffs everyone will be a week's worth of tpe better too

San Jose's season was, to be frank, pitiful. It was not a great showing by anyone on the team. Wright didn't look like the same player he was last season for the first half of this one. Top tight end Camerson Olsen retired so his expertise was missing from that offense. The teams around us just seemed to be getting better, at least for the short term. We were not ready to compete this season but we put up a fight. We might not even be ready next season but that all depends on how the expansion draft plays out. We won't be losing any of our top players in that draft since the team acquired a ton of young talent from the draft that is ineligible to be selected. Speaking of that young talent, that core will improve and prosper in seasons to come. The defense will get better with the rise of Otis Allen on the line and HeHateMe PickSix in the backfield. The offense is looking to make a recovery with Rando Cardrissian and Leon McDavid developing into stud weapons for franchise quarterback Dan Wright. All the pieces are in place to build a contender. Now it just takes a little bit of time before everything is in place to make a run at the ultimus.
