In regards to harassment investigations and punishment statements from HO, they have referred to this "rule" and recommend users to refer to this as well when discussing their policy on harassment/bullying. So, this either needs to be officially added to the rulebook, or HO should stop using it as reference for their punishments. The fact alone that so many people think it's an official rule is worrisome itself.
Normally I wouldn’t give attention to a post like this but fuck it I’ve had a terrible no good very bad day already so let’s end it in a bang. I will behave myself and ignore most of the post’s alternative view of reality and address this -

If you design one, we will consider it. I’m all for fairness and balance of power. But... why? And how? I understand where you are coming from, but like this is a game not a governmental institution that people’s livelihoods depend on. We aren’t taxing your real money or forcing you to quarter our troops... I feel like if anything, HO is already extremely checked in it’s power by the wrath of users making our lives running a fake football dot league for free complete hell, but what do I know? I’m just a grad student who doesn’t know if I goes before E. All I know is that we see things that we want to fix, and then realize that we are limited in the scope of power we get to fix it, and if we overstep that boundary by even a little bit we get publicly crucified. I’m not saying oh woe is me boo boo cry for the MDM and HO. Just try to understand why we do the things we do, and that soooo much discussion goes on behind the scenes. "Make OL pro bowl appearances proportional to the number of OL in the division/conference. There are supposed to be 2 offensive tackles per team, why is it capped at 1 right now when we have a ton of OL entering the league next season?" So if none get called up then it stays at 1 per division/conference. If they all get called up it depends on the number in each conference but likely at least one division/conference move to 2 if not both. Or maybe we wait until there are say 5 in a division/conference to move to 2 in that division/conference.

We need a decent amount more than that to move to 2 per cofnerence. Like..OL in one of the conferences for starters. And as soon as its viable to move to 2 per conference, I expect that will happen. Makes sense. I hope that's what happens but why not set the rule now and when the OL numbers meet the rule the number of pro bowl OL increase and if OL numbers ever go down it decreases again? Proactivity in rules, ya know?

It's the fact that it isn't an official rule, but people believe it is, and it is being enforced as such. That is exactly why I'm saying that, if it's going to be used as reference for rules and punishments, then it should officially be amended to the rulebook. I believe a form of these guidelines should exist in the rulebook and apply to everyone fairly and equally. If it's not in the rulebook, why should anyone face any punishments that deal with this behavior? I never said it was a bad thing for people to not act like a dick, and I do believe everybody should strive to maintain this attitude in life, but that's sadly just not how the real world works. So, if there's not official rules or stipulations in place for these situations in this league, not the world as a whole, why would/should anyone go into it believing they need to act or not act in a specific way? First things first, no one has ever been punished strictly for violating that rule, at least not in the 400+ days I was in HO. It's not a written rule because it doesn't have to be. It's just, common, human decency (hopefully). Secondly, there is no possible way anyone could ever make a rule that specifically addresses each action that shouldn't be allowed. So saying that because something is not specifically listed as being against the rules, just because it's not in the rule book, is just silly.
