DSFL Week 10 Round up
We are ten weeks deep into the DSFL’s 23rd season. How did this week play out? Who were the winners and losers? Let’s find out!
We kick things off south of the border as the Minnesota Grey Ducks pay a visit to the Tijuana Luchadores. Crowbar Theeks got to play the hero this week with a 22 yard touchdown run in the first quarter and 124 rushing yards total. On defense Mith Randir was electrifying performance intercepting quarterback Sim SnowBow twice. The Grey Ducks tried to rally in the fourth quarter but it was too little too late. Final Score 14-17
Next we return to the U.S. to Myrtle Beach where the Kansas City Coyotes continue to dominate the competition. The game was carried by Coyotes rookie RB Sergio Kitchens. The Georgia native scored two touchdowns in the win. This win makes 3 in a row for the Coyotes and puts them firmly in first place in the NFC North. Meanwhile for the Buccaneers things are starting to unravel as they fall to the bottom of the SFC South rankings.
Final Score 19-7
Over in Norfolk it was the visiting London Royals who had cause to celebrate as they were led to victory by their quarterback Colby Jack and the rookie receiver out of Ole Miss Tre’Darius J’Vathon. Colby Jack found J’Vathon twice in the endzone and played a near perfect game finishing with a qbr of 157.6.
Final Score 31-16
Finally we check in on the Dallas Birddogs and the Portland Pythons as they go head to head for the second time this season. The Pythons started off strong, drawing first blood with a 1 yard rushing TD by Joseph Petrongolo, but the Portland defense proved no match against the Dallas offense. RB Bob Murphy had a pair of touchdowns in the second quarter and rookie quarterback Mattathias Caliban threw the ball an impressive 40 times though he was only successful half of the time. This win makes 6 in a row for the Dallas Birddogs and their current record of 8-2 is already a franchise record for the young team.
Final Score 20-14
