I have filed my paperwork to enter the upcoming DSFL draft and am willing to take questions at this time.
[!--QuoteBegin-timeconsumer date=1595712180]Scouts have expressed doubts as to your ability to take the next step and succeed at the top level as a QB when facing ISFL quality defenses. How do you respond to these criticisms regarding your potential?[/quote]
Scouts have said their piece about me for the better part of my playing career now. They've been trying to shift me to running back, wide receiver, defensive back for who knows how long. It's frustrating to hear, but there's not much I can do other than work to prove them wrong. I think my body of work to this point has proven that I can play this position at any level, even if I'm doing it in a less than traditional way. Scouts love guys who check certain boxes and fit in a certain mold so they can compare them to known quantities because that makes them feel secure in their evaluations. I don't think I'm really in the mold of any other quarterback, personally. Presenting the idea of a quarterback who runs as much as he throws the ball sort of freaks talent evaluators out, but if they can't see the upside in the ability to do that successfully than that is a failing on their part, and not mine.

I just feel like I have what it takes to play this position at the highest level. I welcome any and all competition along the path, honestly. You're never really going to be able to know for sure until you test yourself against the best in the world so I'm just excited to put my abilities up to the test. Plus I just feel like I bring an added dimension for defenses to account for when it comes to game planning. You get a guy who can throw well, that's already tough. Add the ability to break the pocket and make things happen outside of it and it gets a lot more fun for the offense and a lot less fun for the defense.

You have experience with the league; is there a particular team you hope drafts you at the DSFL level? (Spicy bonus: A team you hope does not draft you?)I don't think I am in a position to play favorites, honestly. There are a lot of quality quarterbacks at the DSFL level, and I hope to get the chance to compete against or alongside of any of them. Like I said, my goal is to just come in and play to the best of my ability and try to let my game sort out the rest. So I think both questions here sort of have the same answer. The teams I want to draft me are the teams willing to give me a chance to be their quarterback. If that isn't something your team is willing to do, then I'm probably not your guy, though I certainly won't hold it against any team that wants to roll with a known quantity.
Quote:3. Favorite type of party?Mario, probably.
Quote:4. What are your thoughts on 79 speed being the meta when back in the day of sailing ships the 74 gun was the meta?I wasn't born until well after 1979, but as I understand it, the masses preferred cocaine to speed back then.
Quote:5. Assuming time were not an issue what is the largest number you could count to successfully?I'd probably get bored around the mid-to-low double digits. Like 38 or something.
Quote:6. Favorite passing play of all time?Anything other than the goal line fade.
