I know this is based on TPE so understand why he's not on here, but gotta shoutout my boy Apollo Reed - picked R5 44oa and ended up top 5 in career rushing yards. Biggest draft steal in my heart <3

Apollo Reed is rank #33 on the spreadsheet at the bottom - not a bad rank at all!
props for making this, but it's going to be really hard to judge the top steals off of a formula. Also, I don't know if you factored in positional value, (how many players of this position were taken before this player got picked). I might try my hand at creating a biggest steals list in a couple seasons, but it would have to be based off of human judgement, and value more career success rather than just TPE

We looked at it in the complete opposite way, and all of the people I consulted with said we should consider career success, but give it a very low weight. The problem with valuing career success highly is that this is just a sim league, so you are just rewarding people for sim luck. Valuing TPE highly shows the work that people put in, rather than how lucky their player is in the sim. I think that a formula is a more fair way of judging something like this. People can't really reasonably get mad at us for the list when using a formula, because we didn't choose to put people higher than others - that's just how the numbers fell. I don't think it's hard to judge, because the main aspects can be quantified. I will admit that we didn't take what you called "Positional Value" into account. That would have been a good idea, but it would have added quite a bit more work, and we were on a time crunch for media week hahah. Feel free to take your own stab at something like this, but I would suggest to have some kind of numerical data to back up your claims, rather than just doing it on human judgement! ?

Hahah I honestly wanted to do every player of all time, but unfortunately it's hard to easily get the data on non-active players, especially the really earlier seasons...
Thanks for the kind words, jamie the only guy on this list who people straight up passed on instead of picked tho so he should be #1 in my very biased opinion
