Tbf, I think I was as veteran as the S22 guys currently are when I got the job, I had just been lucky and had been a DSFL GM from the start
I'm just here so I don't get fined

Congratulations Dewalt, High, woelkers, and Bwest!
As someone who got to actively participate in this process since I was applying with Kyle, I think Head Office picked some great candidates. They were open with all of us about the process and the things they were weighing. At the end of the day I think the league ended up with some great choices to help build franchises from the ground up - which is one of the toughest jobs anyone can be given. This is an exciting time for the league and I'm pumped up to see the branding choices. p.s. someone should definitely pick a moon team - this is too good to pass up
new teams to crush. gz guys.

You picked someone who is already currently the GM of an ISFL team and someone who was very recently the GM of another ISFL team to GM new expansion teams instead of giving it to literally anyone else who puts time into the league who hasnt had that opportunity yet? Nothing personal to the selections (I'm sure they'll be awesome and I really do look forward to seeing the branding) but I kind of expected better from a league that talks about player/community growth. Yup, basically this. We want to make sure the expansion teams have as strong a base to start on as possible - they’re brand new teams and don’t have the foundation that currently existing teams already have. I fully encourage users with less experience with management to join their teams war rooms or apply to be their GMs, because there is more support in already existing teams to ensure success. The pool this time around was pretty good and if we had to go to 4 I think we’d have 4 really good pairings. We had to narrow down to 2 and trust me, that was a difficult decision for HO. I think everyone who was hired will do a great job, but I just dislike the idea of taking people who have previously held GM positions or currently do and giving these teams to them. they literally have been given the opportunity to GM already. why do they need to get it again? I would have absolutely zero concern about the direction or management ability of the GMs if these were people who joined sometime this year, even. |
