The first rookie practice that took place in San Jose was something to be remembered. Besides the fact that the Sabercats brought in ten rookies this year, and it looks like they can help change the team around. One thing that has been noticed early on were the three linemen brought in to play with Ben Longshaw. Longshaw has been mentoring Vincent Sharpei, Jordan Yates, and Braden Sharp very well, and showing them the ropes falls in with how San Jose runs their offense. Dan Miller has been showing Chidubem Okonkwo and Enchilada Charlton the ropes on the defensive end.
Something that should be looked forward on these next few rookie practices is how the offensive and defensive line work against each other and the unity they are already forming so early in camp. You know things always get heated on the field, even with rookies. The Sabercats are building a dynasty and it is great to see your O-Line go against the D-Line, but something that always happens in the end, is no matter how heated things get they still build together and want to build cohesion off the field as well. San Jose is looking really good this off-season, and hopefully they can bring more pride back to San Jose.
