Greetings dear reader, it is my pleasure to welcome you to my S26 draft class analysis. After not being overly involved in the draft and scouting process of the last few seasons. I thought I'd once again throw my hands in the ring. Today I'm going to be giving you my honest opinions and grades of the upcoming S26 prospects. Now, I have never been an ISFL or DSFL GM, nor have I spent any time in a war room. So take whatever I say going forward with as many grains of salt as you need to. However, I will be giving you my report operating under the assumption of how I would do things as a GM. I would also like to very quickly establish, this is a much smaller class than a few we've had. As such, there are a few prospects that I feel I don't have enough to talk about. That Being said, I will do my best to evaluate at least the first dozen or so prospects, and add a few others in as I see fit. Of course, I will be using our beloved TPE tracker to determine the order in which I'll talk about these prospects. One final point of note, as an outsider to the scouting process in the ISFL, I don't have all the information I would need in order to make the best case for every user mentioned. As such, there may be some things that I miss.
Starting with the current 1st ranked player by TPE on the S26 tracker. Cobra Kai - RB - Dallas.
OrbitingDeath is a user I've seen around quite a few times around the league's various discord servers. Though I don't recall ever speaking with him personally, from what I've gathered about him. He seems to greatly enjoy being in the league. As a former Dallas Birddog myself, I can only make the assumption that he's been a large part of their locker-room. At least given Dallas' history of creating strong runningback prospects in their short existence as a DSFL team. Despite what some have said about Dallas, I, as well as the numbers can attest to the fact. That Dallas prospects have a tendency to be incredibly active after their DSFL careers. It should then be no surprise, that orbitingdeath has maintained an active sig shop since early October. As a man with only my updates thread and a discord screenshot for a sig. I must say, after taking a brief look through it. They're some of the finest in the league. As a bit of fun trivia, this is the second time a Dallas runningback has topped the tpe tracker for their respective draft class. Of course, there is one thing that worries me regarding draft stock. That would be, as I assume some of you may know. Runningback is a very, very competitive position right now. As I don't know his willingness to switch positions, or wait out another season in the DSFL. I'd have to predict him as a late first round, early second round selection. I'm leaning heavily towards him going to either Philly, Baltimore, or New York. He will be receiving the highest grade I can bestow. A+
Moving on, let's take a look at. Moe Skeeter - S - Portland.
Now, I do have to very quickly point out. Despite spending S25 as a member of the Portland Pythons, I did not spend a lot of time in the locker room. As I mentioned recently, my interest in the league. until recently, had been declining. So I'm unable to give a 100% accurate account of his character. However, I can attest that he is certainly one of the more active members of the Portland locker room. As well as that, from what I understand he's spent at least some time in the war room process. Though saying how active someone is in Portland in comparison to one another doesn't quite paint an easy picture. As the Portland locker room is one of the most active in the league. To my understanding at least. However, I do have to give some serious bonus points. Because anyone named after one of the greatest films ever committed to cinema is an okay guy in my books. Especially when they're named after my favorite actor of all time Jeff Bridges. Moe Skeeter has not been given much love in the realm of mock drafts lately. Which is a proper shame, because I could easily see him being an excellent pickup. Though I don't expect him to be drafted in the top 5, I could easily see how a team might justify the selection. I anticipate he'll be taking his talents to Arizona. As the tradition of a python being drafted by the Outlaws must be kept intact. My final grade. A.
Next up, the consensus first overall selection according to ISFL mocks. Ernest Lover - DE - London.
Now, I personally expect Mojojojo to be selected 2nd overall by New York. I'll talk more about that when I get into who I personally believe to be the 1st over all later. Though I will be the first to admit, it's an incredibly tight race. Now, Mr. Lover is one of a few prospects that I only know through the grapevine. As I have never interacted with him myself. Though from what I understand, it's easy to understand the 1st overall argument. I've heard from a number of sources that he is a massive contributor to the culture in London. A culture in which many league members have come to love. As teams fill more and more positional holes every season, it's important to remember that in some cases. Team's will likely be drafting based on users instead. However, luckily enough for Mojojojo, Berlin does need some extra help on the defensive line. Though I would expect him to still spend another season in the DSFL. As I don't have a lot of information beyond that, I will have to grade him lower than his expectations. A.
Now, another user that has had rumors to be the first overall selection. Leonard Taylor - LB - Myrtle Bondi Beach.
Unfortunately, another user whom I do not have a whole lot of knowledge about first hand. However, from what I've heard about him, he's drawn a lot of interest around the league. Though I personally have him 4th overall on my big board. Which of course, is nothing to scoff at. Much like those before him, I'm told he's a very active member of yet another very active team. Whereas many other GM's in the ISFL highly prioritize cornerbacks. I personally hold a soft spot for linebackers. After all, there's nothing more exciting than getting to the quarterback right? Linebacker is also a position that can produce even at the early stages of one's career. On top of that, there are very few teams you could argue wouldn't mind having an extra linebacker. Now, what I'm sure you'll notice will become a recurring theme in this series. I wish I could have seen more from them before deciding to do this article so late in the season. As such, I may have to rank him lower than is deserving. A-
We've arrived dear reader, to the first of many recreates in this year's draft cycle. BamBam McMullet - LB - Tijuana
To some of you never viewers. Manic is what the kids might call, for lack of a better word. A boomer. Dating all the way back to S2. Manic has been a beloved member of this league since its inception. So there's not much I can really say about him that isn't already well established. Though, you shouldn't quote me on this because I don't know him personally. I believe he's held nearly every league job at least once. He was on the sim team for sometime, and could still be part of it to this day. I believe he may have also very briefly spent some time as commissioner. The gist of it is, he's a very committed veteran presence that I'm sure any team would love to have. However, I think most of us are all well aware, there's likely only one team he's aiming to join. That of course would be the former juggernaut of the league, Yellowknife. However, despite the relative confidence he'll end up there. I don't project him going in the first round. With that being said, I think it would still be a crime to give him anything less than my highest honor. A+
Another fellow Python, who will soon loon the quarterback struggle. Lebron James III - QB - Portland
Recently suspended from twitter for "allegedly" impersonating the real Lebron James. Orhanello has done an excellent job filling some rather large shoes. Taking over the job from Portland legend, Sam Howetzier. Much like Moe Skeeter, he's been a huge part of the locker room in the last few weeks. Even if I wasn't there for most of it. This is where the list becomes quite difficult. Because I have the user very highly rated, and the positional value incredibly low. As I'm sure many of you know, quarterbacks in the ISFL work much differently than it does in the real world. As every quarterback prospect theoretically has the potential to be "the guy" Unfortunately, in this instance, there's very little room for quarterbacks going into S26. Those spaces are also not likely to begin opening up for at least another few seasons. On the bright side at least, I expect around S27 or S28 there will be at least two immediate openings. Those of course being Arizona and Austin. I suppose the question scouts should've asked him, and his fellow quarterback prospect coming late. What is your favorite shade of red? As much as I hate to do this, I can't see myself grading a quarterback very highly. Weird how much different that is around here. B-
I promise, we definitely have offensive skill positions in this class. Really. Tugg Speedman - WR - London.
I feel like this is the one guy in this class that I just don't know anything about. I haven't seen him around, I've not heard anything about him. Though clearly, he's very active around the league, he's been updating consistently. This is where the whole, not being "in the know" comes around to bite me. Because I simply don't know anything about the prospect aside from him being an active earner. I'm going to end up in a situation where I will need to grade him lower than I would normally like to for an active wide out. Though if I were to make assumptions. He's in London, and as much as it pains me to admit this. London, much like it's sister team Dallas. Created a lot of incredible prospects over the last few seasons. In fact, and don't quote me for this. I believe, if I'm not mistaken, since S22 the first overall selection has been from either London or Dallas. So who knows maybe he’s a first round talent and I’m just a guy with an opinion who will most likely be wrong. Much like every draft analyst out there. I’m still getting paid. Anyways, I'm going to look stupid for this grading in a few days either way. C+
Oh boy, this is going to be interesting. Richard Littlewood. - OL - Bondi Beach.
Now, I feel it’s very important to quickly tell you. I do not know this man personally. I have absolutely no intention of attacking his character. But I feel it’s necessary to point out a few of the things I’ve heard about them. Under express condition that you, the reader, understand one thing. What I have heard about this user is nothing more than rumors. I do not claim that anything I am about to say to be a true testament to who they are as a person. As I understand it, LatinViking has been adamant about being drafted in the first round. While I personally believe it could very well be possible, I’ve heard many others voice the opposite sentiment. Upon hearing this opposition, I’ve been told he did not take it well. Of course I cannot testify to exactly what “not taking it well” entails. I believe it’s important for you to understand my justification for my rankings. Though, to give LatinViking the benefit of the doubt. I have also heard that he is very fun to have around, and I could see a team or two taking a chance on him in the first round, if he wasn’t on the offensive line. C.
Are you sure there’s actually offensive skill positions in this draft? Yes. Mr. Forty-Two. - RB - Norfolk.
While not as much of a boomer as manic. C9Van has been around the league for almost two years now. As his old player Dexter Banks is a former teammate of mine. I can say that I enjoyed having on the team. Though I’ll be honest, I didn’t expect him to recreate so quickly. In either case, a veteran presence in a locker room will always have staying power in the ISFL. However, I do have to express my deepest sympathies to Mr. Van. Being a Cloud9 fan has to be some sick form of masochism. I mean really, just, the amount of suffering you must have to go through. I just don’t know how you do it. On top of consciously choosing to be a runningback. In this climate? I applaud you sir, you are braver than most. A.
Is this a nola pick? Yeah this is certainly a nola pick. Raphael Delacur - WR - Norfolk.
Now, going into the future, if this does turn out to be a pick for the Second Line. I will forever use it as an example of a nola pick. Now of course, I mean no disrespect to the New Orleans front office in saying this. Whenever I get asked, What in your opinion is the easiest team to mock draft? It has, and likely always will be New Orleans. Let me paint the picture for you. There’s a template you can follow for whether or not a player will be picked by the purple and blue. Step 1. Establish whether or not this player has been, or has shown express interest in being a member of HO, the sim team, or a rookie mentor. Step 2. Establish whether or not they have been on nola in the past. Step 3. Establish whether or not they are in Norfolk, or Tijuana. Step 4. Ask yourself, would they watch F.R.I.E.N.D.S reruns in their spare time? Finally, step 5. Determine if you have never once seen them in the ISFL general discord server. If you can verify at least 3 of these steps, congratulations. You have uncovered the Second Line’s entire draft strategy. Anyways, before I get fined. 37thchamber is the second boomer in this class, having been a massive part of this league since the very beginning. I think he also has a player in the hall of fame. Though I didn’t think he had a player at all for the longest time. A.
Seriously, I fear I’m going to get fined for that. Anyways, what was I talking about? Oh right. Vincent Jones. - LB - Tijuana.
Ladies and gentlemen, may I present to you, my 3rd ranked prospect of S26. Yes, of course, another linebacker. I promise number 1 isn’t a linebacker. Now, I have heard nothing but great things about this guy. I’ve heard he’s fun in the locker room, and he’s got good memes. What more could you want honestly? While I personally haven’t seen him around much, I still have a really good feeling about him going into the draft. While I don’t think other teams will have the same board that I do, I do expect him to end up going 8th overall to Chicago. A place I expect he will fit in quite well. A-
I promise you I’m not running out of ways to say I don’t know as much as I’d like to. Derek Wildstar - LB - Kansas City.
Rounding out my top 5 prospects is LBG. A name that some of you may recognize. Legally_Blind_Gamer. Is a rather large part of some of the other sim leagues that are out there. From my own understanding, there are at least two teams who are very interested in picking him up in the draft. Though many mock drafts have him towards the second half of the first round. Including my own. I think it’s time to start reevaluating the possibility that he gets picked in the top 5. I’ve seen him in quite a few locker rooms around the league. It certainly seems like he’s eager to begin his ISFL career, perhaps maybe he’ll even be a GM some day. Though I’m not sure how exactly he feels about that, I could certainly see it happening someday. A+
Finally, I can talk about who I think is 1st overall. Dogwood Maple - S - Norfolk.
Let me start by quickly saying this. I think New Orleans wants Dogwood more than any other team in the league presently. The question quickly becomes, Do they want to trade up to get him? Because I don’t personally see anyway Dogwood makes it down to 5th. Another question that has to be asked. Would the teams above New Orleans even be willing to trade down? While I have Dogwood as my number 1. I don’t think Berlin does, New York and Baltimore however. As two teams that seemingly have a long way to go before they make post season appearances. I don’t think it’s as likely, meaning if the Second Line wants Maple as much as I fully believe they do, they’ll have to pull off some form of magic trick to get that kind of trade done. If I was a GM, right now, at this very moment. I can tell you I would draft Dogwood without question. A very active player in every locker room I’ve seen him in. Does a lot of very interesting media work. Has a dog profile picture. Do I really need to say more? A++
So there you have it ladies and gentlemen. I am now officially the ISFL’s version of Mel Kiper. Because many of these evaluations will likely be wrong. If they’re not, I can tell everyone I told you so and make literal millions of it. Thank you for reading, remember to take this with a massive grain of salt. If enough people like this, I’ll consider doing a second edition.
