Well it’s right around the corner for Christmas again. Being a Memphis native, I had to head back home with my brothers. A Lot of time has passed since I last saw them and it was good to be back around them while helping the community we grew up in. First thing we did was combine some of the cash we had saved up and donated it to Bartlett High school, the high school all three of us graduated and won rings at. The money is meant to be used on new textbooks, school use computers, etc. However we weren’t done yet. We also decided to volunteer at a local soup kitchen. I ain’t gonna lie to you.Being the youngest brother, I didn’t have the slightest of clues on how to cook. Heck, I can barely cook ramen. So I just ended up packing the meals into brown paper bags. I eventually learned how to make a basic ham sandwich.Impressive right? I know. In my off time, I headed down to a local outdoor basketball court and played ball with some kids. We played just about every game imaginable: Horse, 21, 3v3, 5v5, around the world, etc. Them kids tired me out. They would also ask me questions in the middle of games. They asked what it was like to be a pro athlete, how many pounds I could squat, and could I get Glims autograph. Man it felt like i was doing a press conference while shooting threes. Nonetheless, I had a good time heading back home, seeing my brothers again, and ,most importantly, givinging back to my community.
Longstanding friends and teammates Crunk and Burfict are big fans of the holiday season and this year in Arizona is no different. Drawing inspiration from their time together in London the two will be out and about over the holiday time in their specially commissioned ice cream van, imported from famed UK coachbuilder Saviles.
Vibrantly decorated and fitted with a state of the art satellite navigation system, the van will be passing by all neighbourhood parks to ensure the duo can put as many smiles on faces as possible. In addition to ice cream and other festive fancies they’ll also be handing out gameday tickets and signed memorabilia to spread the festive cheer – and will give fans the chance to win a whole match day experience for next season. “For us it’s all about giving something back to the kids, spreading the love, saying thanks for the support they give us through the season. I loved my time in London and was able to do a lot over there within the community and since I’ve been called up here the fans have been great, even if I’ve been a little light on the field. So most important for Tayshawn and me, it’s just to remind the community that we owe this to them, we do it for them when we’re out there on the field. And what better time to show that than Christmas”. So fans of all ages, look out for Crunk and Burfict rocking up at your local park soon!
Schell has always had a soft spot for the church. If he hadn't gone into football he would have likely pursued a life in ministry and fully intends to use his earnings from his career to go toward making the world a better place. Once the home of the Protestant Reformation and Martin Luther's 95 Theses, Germany has become a post-Christian culture seeking ultra modernity in a world going a million miles an hour. This has been one of the hardest parts of the move for Schell. However, he has found a community to join at a Christian Mission Alliance church outside of Berlin and intends to spend lots of time contributing to their Christmas community outreach ideas. He will be found caroling at nursing homes, handing out chocolates at the grocery store, and most likely playing with 2 and 3 year olds during the Christmas Eve services so that moms and dads can focus on the Christmas service. It is striking to see the large linebacker frame playing Legos on the floor with children, but the joy on his face makes it clear that this is life giving to him. There will be many specific ways Schell will be giving back over the holidays, but if you ask him, he's gaining more than he's giving.
Marlon Brando is from Nebraska, and if there’s one thing Nebraska is known for, it’s soup. As for what kind of soup, nobody knows. But lately, due to the fact that absolutely nobody lives in Nebraska, soup shop owners are going bankrupt. So to serve the community, he’ll go back to his hometown in Nebraska and buy all of the soup from the soup shop owners. After buying all the soup, he will consume it to gain the powers of the soup. You ever try to block soup? You can’t. I’ll be able to slide right past offensive linemen and sack the qb every play. I assume most people here have never had nebraskan soup before, so you cannot guarantee to me that it does not give you soupy powers. By consuming all the soup of Nebraska, not only will I have gained magical properties similar to that of soup, but i will also have singlehandedly saved the Nebraska soup industry. Okay so maybe i’m lying and i wouldn’t actually gain the physical properties of soup, and maybe there isn’t a soup industry in Nebraska. But still, I’d say saving failing businesses from bankruptcy counts as a community service. So that’s what Marlon Brando would do as a community service.

When Heinrich Kackpoo first made his way to the ISFL, he immediately made an impact and proved that he had the talent to stick around for a long time. Yet his biggest accomplishment may have happened very recently. Heinrich ist the creator of the idea of his own foundation which he eventually started in 2020 with the goal of expanding educational and life opportunities of underprivileged children. The foundation also offers several programs, food drives, holiday shopping sprees, and impacts the community in countless positive ways.
During his presentation speech, Heinrich stated “When I first got into the ISFL nobody could tell me anything. I was living life." Heinrich said. "I had achieved my dream of one day making it into the ISFL, but I soon realized that's not what life is all about. I realized my purpose in life was not to make it to the ISFL and try to win championships. I got the opportunity of being put on this earth and i want to prove that it was for something much bigger than that and I realized and understand what my purpose is now. ... It's my actions and my hope that I can live out the rest of my life making the life of people around me better and help as many people as possible."

While the average football player aims to make a small difference to the lives of unfortunate people, Brandon Booker has eyes set on something bigger. As a member of the Orange County Otters and a man with proud British heritage, Brandon Booker recognises a chance to help everyone in California – and maybe even the entire United States – by showing them how to make hot drinks that don’t make you grimace.
The United States is world-famous for its gritty, poor-tasting coffee. Brandon Booker would show the people of southern California how to actually make coffee. The first problem is the method used. Why does the USA insist on making filter coffee using poor quality beans? But this is far from the biggest problem. Coffee should be made with water that is hot, but not boiling. Americans have an unjustified obsession with making coffee at close to 200 degrees Celsius so that it stays hot longer. This point is exacerbated by the practice of keeping the coffee at a ridiculously high temperature after it has been made. What is the point in making coffee that stays hot longer if no one in their right mind wants to drink it? Filter coffee kept at a high temperature quickly goes burnt and stale, meaning that drinking it is a frankly awful experience. Brandon Booker would first watch a California native attempt to make coffee, and then demonstrate how to make coffee that doesn’t taste horrible. I’m sure there are plenty of people in California who are able to make acceptable coffee, but this demonstration would be lifechanging for the great many who don’t. Of course, coffee is not the only hot beverage. Brandon Booker would also educate the people of California on tea, and, more crucially, tea made well. By the way, any aversion that residents of the United States have towards tea deriving from anti-imperialist/anti-British sentiments or from the events of the Boston Tea Party are frankly ridiculous – tea originates from China. Making tea well is similarly simple, and yet Americans often fail in this regard too. All teas, whether English Breakfast, Earl Grey, Chai… should be left to brew for at least a few minutes before drinking, and before milk or sugar is added. You’d think this was simple, but the evidence (sadly) suggests otherwise. On the bright side, this means that Brandon Booker will be able to have a significant positive impact on the lives of Californians.
