Option #2
I love my draft class. S25 was a larger (but not the largest, I know) reddit draft class with a whopping 141 players. Three seasons later, our retention is still pretty high. According to the TPE tracker, there are still 86 players from our class. I’d like to use my Ultimus Week point task to give shout outs to a few of my friends and appreciate some of the accomplishments they’ve obtained.
@GlimsTC was one of the first people I met when we were both DSFL prospects. As a fellow offensive lineman, we became friends hoping to take the pancake world by storm. If anyone has ever interacted with him, they would know immediately that Glims is one of the nicest people in the league. It was only fitting that he quickly rose through the ranks of Kansas City and was the first of us to become a GM. Although he’s since stepped down, Glims has certainly left a lasting impression on his team’s legacy.
@r0tzbua is a cool dude. He makes video games, has traveled the world, and is now the shiny new GM of Dallas. I hate Dallas still as team, but I love Rotz. If you haven’t had the experience, sit down and just let him tell you stories about his adventures. You won’t be disappointed. Also, if you’ve ever wanted to be absolutely jealous of someone’s culinary skills, ask him what he made for dinner.
On the topic of dinner, I think many of us are also jealous of the master pizza chef @katarn22. Infamously known as the quiet counter, Katarn has made quite the reputation for himself amongst the league by being another one of the nicest people around. Literally. I don’t think I’ve ever seen Katarn insult someone. I did see him say fuck once. That’s the only dirt I have on him. Anyways, he also is known for reliably simming a bajillion times. I don’t know how he’s going to set lines now with the new sim, but I’m sure he’ll find a way. As one of London’s most respected alumni, I believe he was slated to GM that team from early on.
Slated. Slate… @slate! Lovingly known as The Stone, London is overjoyed to have Slate defect to London to be a GM. Kansas City is a cool team, but we love him and you can’t have him back. Anyone who has talked to Slate knows that he’s smart af. If you ever needed help with strategies or player builds, Slate was the guy to see. I am positive that whatever secrets the new sim holds, Slate is going to be one of the first people to know.
How can anyone talk about S25 without bringing up the irl best buddies @"Punter715" and @"ShnarlyDude". Their bromance runs so deep that now anonymous strangers all over the world now know of it through the magic of dot football. Being so close, it’s not a shocker that they share similar goals and became coGMs of the same team. I am so excited to see where they can take Philly. If only I could see what it’s like in their war room during draft season…
Okay @Crunk. I GUESS I can say some nice things about you. No Crunk was one of my London teammates and helped us reach the DSFL finals. ULTIMINI CHAMPIONS YO! It’s no shocker that you were plucked and made GM of AZ. What a hell of a way to break into the ISFL right? Z-Whiz needs all the help he can get.
Oh @zaynzk. Where do you go. How do you find a way to skirt the rules of twitter so much yet still manage to find success. It seems like only yesterday that we were rivals shit talking about Dallas and London. Now we’re teammates on NYS! You made my list here by mere minutes. Hearing that you’re now the CoGM of the gorilla gang is so exciting! I can’t wait to beg you for the team twitter permissions…
I can’t talk about New York Silverbacks without talking about @Bwestfield though. I first met Westy on twitter, strangely awed by his hamburger duck pfp. Who thinks of that? Who picks a hamburger duck as their player? Westy does. I was overjoyed to connect with him after coming to NYS and seeing that he was GM. Not sure what the future holds for you buddy, but I feel like you’ll continue to be an integral part of this league.
Alright @Swanty. Now it’s your turn to shine. Not only was Swanty one hell of a teammate on London, he was one of the first of us to make it to the top: HO. If you ever needed some hands to grease to help get preferential treatment in the sims, Swanty was the guy to go to. Not really. But I do ask him for an HO job like once a week. Will Swanty soon take over as the commissioner of the DSFL? I sure as hell hope so.
I haven’t had the opportunity to become that close to @Jimi64 or @GuitarMaster116, but that doesn’t make me any less happy for them. They made to GM and HO respectively and are sure representing S25 well. The more bodies we have in charge, the more weight we can swing around. S25 takeover is all going to plan, and these two and definitely doing their part. Way to go homies!
