What if the characters from star wars were drafted last night instead of the draftees. Who would be who? I know everyone here has been thinking about this regularly since the draft so wonder no longer!! I have the answers for you right here. First round for now, more Maybe to follow.
1. Eleven Kendrick Watts - Anakin Skywalker. The Golden Child of the draft. Taken number 1 Overall you could say he has the highest potential to restore balance to the Hahalua. The Chosen One. And this is pre-fall Anakin before all the child murder and stuff obviously. Star of the Jedi Order, Star of the draft, high potential, this is a guy you want on your team if you want to win. Obvious parallels here, without the fall to the dark side he is a champion of the order, and in this case will be a champion and leader of his team.
2. Lawrence Miller - General Grievous. Absolute playmaker. Fast. Agile. Im going mostly off of Clone Wars here. He tracked down and intercepted the Jedi, always causing mayhem. Just a pain in the ass for opposing Quarterbacks. Interception? Too easy. His four arms allow him to grab passes from any direction. This is a guy you go to when you need a big splash play and to cause opposing quarterbacks to play with caution and fear.
3. Xander Creed. Homer pick obviously but when I think star wars and football player comparisons darth maul is clearly a running back. Aggressive, fast, powerful. All traits you want in a good running back. I am a bit more focused on speed, but still i think its a decent fit. Not much of a strategist but relentless attack and unrelenting forward progress. The guy you go to when you need make a quick strike up the gut (you know exactly what im talking about)
4. Marlon Brando. The devastator at the line of scrimmage. Hardened warrior terrorizing the front lines. This ones easy. Darth Vader. Just a massive, terrifying presence. Unrelenting attack at the line, will stop at nothing to accomplish his goal. In Vaders case his goal is killing Jedi and slaughtering rebels in hallways. In Brandos case he is demolishing quarterbacks and stuffing running backs. Relentless attack and absolutely merciless big hits. Not a guy you want to come face to face with on any day. Especially when pissed off.
5. SparkySparky Boom-man. Stalwart defender. When he drops into a zone nothing gets past him. Who better than the greatest defensive duelist in Jedi History Obi-Wan Kenobi. Able to create an impenetrable wall behind his lightsaber, SparkySparky Boom-man also creates an impenetrable barrier downfield with his tight coverage and excellent defensive instincts. Kenobi also started out with a more aggresive acrobatic style of lightsaber combat of that his Master Qui-Gon used, which in this case results in aggresive blitzes and relentless pursuit of the quarterback.
6. Duke Cheeks. A big tough, hard hitting linebacker? Easy. What better choice than the trrifying Jedi Killer known as Savage Opress? You would NOT want to take a hit from this guy. Unbelievable ferocity paired with immense strength and prowess made Opress a fearsome Jedi killer. Capable of taking on multiple Jedi at a time and overcoming some of the more powerful masters. Cheeks is a big hitting, relentless force at linebacker, taking out the running game like Savage bringing down an overconfident Jedi.
7. Bean Beanman. The defensive end is a ferocious tackler, relentlessly pursues the quarterback, the comparison here for me is count Dooku. Suprisingly Nimble and very skilled, able to move with much more speed than you would think. Also attacks with power and ferocity, overwhelming opponents in a flurry and quickly going for the decisive blow taking out the quarterback.
8. Kita Chiasa - Ashoka Tano. Quick, Agile, and with a bit of dual threat, able to use agility and speed to make things happen. But strong enough to make a tackle. Will capitalize on any mistakes and even force you to make mistakes. Smaller in stature, but with overwhelming speed, this player fits the bill for Ashoka, using wits and agility instead of brute force.
9. Ace Savage. Luke Skywalker. A powerful, fast to the point style to the point style of fighting, compared to a quick, powerful, get the first down style of running. Savage is a tremendous back who finds openings, or creates them with patience and smart running. Similar to Luke using ingenuity and wits and skill to win fights. These two can both beat beat you in a number of ways. Force, lightsaber, well placed kick, speed, power, catching. A multitool of sorts, able to do it all. Vast potential for the future, but needs a little time to catch up, evidenced by savage with the slightly lower tpe among top running backs.
10. Madison Hayes. Another easy choice. Hayes toes the line between reciever and running back, similar to this Jedi who tiptoes the fine line between light and dark. Thats right. Mace Windu. Flashy, powerful, Dynamic. Need I say more? Speed, power, agility. This Guy has it all. And for Hayes she can do it all. Beat you on the ground, beat you in the air (recieving) or run around/through you. Windu is a very powerful force user, and his creation of Vapaad which uses dark and light, overwhelmes even the most powerful opponents. Similar to how Hayes overwhelms opponents but aggressive running and efficient pass catching.
11. Maui Waialiki. A fierce pass blocker. Who else is a fierce protector, guarding someone smaller and weaker? Chewbacca thats right. This gargantuan Wookie spends his time protecting Han Solo. Waialiki is an elite protector, using his immense strength and suprising speed to dominate the line of scrimmage and prevent those pesky sacks. An absolute powerhouse, if i was defensive lineman (or a stormtrooper) I would steer well clear.
12. James Wilkinson. Tough. Reliable. But doesnt quite fit with one group, recievers or blocking. So he does both. Some of you might hate me for this, but hes the only sequel trilogy character with any development. Kylo Ren. Like wilkinson and his dual threat in blocking and recieving, Kylo Ren has been tied to the light and dark side. We know hes not the most nimble or agile of fighters, and neither is this tight end. But they are both tough, and quite stronk. this is the one that might get me some heat, but i think this is a good fit. Kylo also kinda has a tight end look to him. Either way, im doing it I like this choice.
13. Candice Fitinyomouf. Power and strength, speed and remarkable skill and ingenuity. Ferocity and a cool demeanor that strikes fear into the quarterbacks heart. Jango Fett. Strong, fast, relentless. Overwhelms even some of the most stalwort defenders. Surprisingly fast, and with tremendous power Fitinyomouf overpowers and wears down opposing linemen the same way Jango wears down the defenses of a helpless Jedi Knight. He might get stopped once in a while, but make no mistake he will get to the Qb. That bounty is as good as dead.
14. Fergus Callaghan Jr. An aggressive attacker, able to dish out just as punishment as he can take. Relentless pursuit of the quarterback. Din Djarin is the perfect fit to close us out. His ability to tank blaster fire while still charging headfirst at its source is reminiscent of callaghan powering through a double team in the pursuit of the quarterback. Both are relentless in their attack and, while Din Djarin might not have the size of a DT, his armor fixes that hole. His pursuit of baby yoda and his relentless attack to rescue him is similar to Callaghans constant unrelenting pressure on the quarterback.
