Hello everyone, and welcome to another edition of dude_man’s season 28 DSFL Recap/Highlights. This week we're going to cover the Tijuana Luchadores vs the Minnesota Grey Ducks. Last season, the Tijuana Luchadores lost both games to the Grey Ducks including a 39-0 shutout in Week 12. The Luchadores will look to bounce back after the poor showing they had against the Birddogs last week. But first, let's check out a pregame interview with starting Offensive Tackle Cade Williams.
Pre-Game Interview
Mike: Hey guys, Mike Holder here with Offensive Tackle Cade Williams for the Luchadores. Cade, obviously you haven’t been able to play as well as you were probably hoping this season. Has there been a different approach to how you’re handling this season compared to your last?
Cade: Thanks for having me Mike, always a pleasure. But to be honest, I haven’t changed much. My focus is to get out there and do the best I can for my football team. That’s all I can really do is just make an impact for the team, and if I’m only getting a pancake a game, so be it.
Mike: The run game has shown flashes of brilliance but often inconsistency, how’re you looking to solve those issues?
Nate: Obviously Tijuana has always been known for the run game, so we’re just using that same mentality week in and week out. There’ll be times where we can’t be able to run as effectively as we know we could, but that’s also the beauty of football, there’s a whole different facet of the game we’re able to tap into, and we just need to make sure we’re on top of it.
Mike: Thanks for meeting with us Cade, have fun out there!

The overtime period was intense as there were turnovers by both teams, including an INT by the Luchas with 1 yard away from winning the game, however, the Luchadores would stop Minnesota on the ensuing drive and have them punt the ball to Tijuana with 1:12 left to go in overtime. With 1:01 to go at the Minnesota 46-yard line, ReallyInvisible threw a 37-yard dime to TE Gronku Muerto. With :33 left to go, RB Lonnie Jackson would punch it in for a 9-yard TD run to win the game for the Luchas 20-14!

Post-Game Interview
Our interviewer was able to get ahold of Tijuana Luchadores Head Coach Forrest Gump, to get some comments after the game.
Mike: What an exciting win Coach! What were your keys to the win?
Gump: Man, we just made crucial stops and clutch plays. There were several ones, but man this team played fantastic! I’m glad to have these guys as a coach.
Mike: Coach, you’re 3-1 right now, is this where you were hoping you’d be?
Gump: To be honest Mike, I expected them to be 4-0 because I know what these guys are capable of, and I think they can shock the world from here on out!
Mike: Thanks for taking the time as always coach!
