I think PbP is more time consuming but a lot more excitement driven. While I love the sim engine seeing dots move on the screen isn't really heart racing.

I feel like PBP filled a need of creating excitement when watching the streams weren't the norm.
PBP is great hype for a game if one person spells out the play by play for everyone else instead of just saying the game outcome. I feel like it's comparing watching a football game live on TV vs listening to it on the radio. If you can't watch it on TV then radio is a fair substitute, but one of these is obviously better.
Twitch doesn't even work on my computer and I still voted for that.

Once or twice I remember being in one of the voice chat channels on the Discord and a few random people were jumping in and out as we all got to bullshit while watching the stream and it was really fun. I like that more than the PBP.

The play by plays are enjoyable but, they take far too long.
