PT #2 Double Trouble (Option #1) (387 words)
The league has definitely been interesting to start the season but I think things are actually pretty accurate as they stand.
“Teams Overachieving”:
Orange County Otters: The Otters are currently sitting at a 3-2 mark to open the season and I do not think their defense will continue to maintain the low points against that they are currently enjoying. Their offense is very emaciated and I believe this will eventually catch up with them.
Colorado Yeti: Colorado has a very one dimensional attack on offense and it has struggled this year in comparison to years passed. Their defense is struggling heartily as they have given up the second most points in the league. These factors can’t keep getting them wins to sit above .500.
“Teams Where They Should Be”:
Philadelphia Liberty: Philly is still a young (but talented team) and as the season goes on they are going to be the team that other teams are really going to be nervous around. Their games already this year have been very close with a few of the top teams in the league and if their TPE continues to rise as it has been they could very well end up in the playoffs or upsetting some teams’ chances.
Arizona Outlaws: The Outlaws have been playing outstanding football and that’s because they are an outstanding team. They have a hell of a roster put together and I think this could very well be their year (if they don’t choke). Their offense is running on all cylinders and their defense is playing like it was built to play.
“Teams Underachieving”:
Berlin Firesalamanders: This roster should be sending the firelizards through the roof at this point but they have really struggled to pull off any resounding wins to start the year. The addition of Deville and Hood should have them riding the top position not sitting at 3-2.
Honolulu Hahalua: God, you know, I thought the Hahalua would have a so-so year, but I did not expect them to sit at the cellar of the entire league without a win 5 games in. Their defense has struggled to stop anybody and their offense has been lethargic to say the least. I’d look for them to turn this around at least a little bit, but who knows.
